Nice hotel, but smell of weed was sickening

Super comfortable beds. Very clean hotel. Close to many dining options. Limited outlets for charging in the room. Second floor smelled like weed REALLY bad, and it never went away; affected the allergies. The room itself was fine.

I always have a great experience at any of the Holiday Inn and Suites! The breakfast is great and rooms were quiet and clean! The only few things I did not like is that during breakfast some Indian or Pakistani man with his wife and 2 daughters decided it was ok for him to use his fingers to touch the waffles!! I politely informed him that there are utensils to use. I'm glad I got my food before he did. That is nothing on the hotel however maybe the breakfast clerk can keep a closer eye next time! And I didn't like that the sliding door in the room is not secured or closed. You can see into the bathroom through the opening around the sliding door. Not sure whose bright idea that was. Other than that, a great experience!

I liked that the booking process was easy. The customer service from Elijah was fantastic. It was clean, the breakfast was good. The only thing was that the microwave and refrigerator were not plugged up so I had put drinks in the fridge and when I went to get them later on is when I discovered it wasn’t plugged in. Other than that, it was a great stay. I would definitely book again. Oh and I was able to do a late check out for one hour at no additional charge so that was super awesome!

Not clean.

The hotel is somewhat rundown. The shade used to block light at the window was damaged and did not close properly, letting light from the parking lot in and disturbing your sleep. There was no shampoo in the shower. One set of towels had been used and was stained with mascara. Housekeeper knocked persistently on the door starting at 8:30, although the checkout time was 11. I told her she was disturbing my ability to conduct work-related Zoom meetings, and that she could not knock every hour to see if I was still in the room. The hotel is right off the freeway and the breakfast was very good, with a buffet serving bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, omelettes, and sausage gravy with biscuits. The location is about half an hour outside Chicago itself, although the time to drive into the city was affected by highway construction and traffic delays.
