The stay at the Tides was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The view of the beach from my room was so wonderful. The dining area had a great view of the gulf and beach also. We enjoyed our stay.

Great balcony view! The beds were okay. The bathroom on the other hand needs attention. The faucet dripped the entire time, the faucet was so loose my 1 year old could've pulled it off. The shower head wasnt tight and way to high hard to adjust. The bar wasn't open on a Saturday evening and they decided to caution off most of pool area to power wash on a Saturday morning. The lobby was gorgeous! The staff seemed very professional! Unfortunately you are also charged and extra $10 a night for parking.

I liked the fact that the staff was friendly and I felt very safe during the time I was there. There was plentiful parking in the garage, but it could get a little dicey trying to maneuver between the big posts. I was disappointed that I had to pay for parking as it use to be free. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and plan to return at a later date.

Great place right on the beach

Clean, comfortable hotel right on the beach! Friendly service and good amenities. Pool, hot tub, and poolside bar. A path directly from the pool to the beach. A great experience. I would definitely recommend and feel like we got a great value for our money.

For what it is, this property is a 5/5. It’s one of the better rates on the beach, and has to be one of the nicest hotels for the rate anywhere. Very clean, beautiful lobby view, convenient pool/beach access and very friendly staff. It looks somewhat like a resort but don’t expect resort service (it’s not a resort) and you’re exoectations will be exceeded. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The only issue we had was checking in. They called and asked what time we would like to check in, that we could even come in at noon and finally settled for 2-3. When we arrived a little before 3, she said our room wasn’t ready and checkin isn’t until 4. I explained that they called and asked if I wanted to check in early. We weren’t able to check in until 4:30.

Expensive yet lackluster hotel

Everything cost extra money at this hotel, including parking in the parking deck you have to park in. If you want even just coffee for breakfast, you have to either pay for a specialty coffee to be made like you’re at Starbucks or pay $15 per person for the self-serve breakfast. The hot tub was not even warm for our entire stay. The pool was warmer than the hot tub. They do have a bar by the pool, but drinks are crazy expensive. I purchased four or five drink drinks and spend $100. Then the morning of checkout they called me at 9:30 AM to tell me I have to move my vehicle from the floor it’s on, in the parking deck because they’re doing cleaning. There was nowhere else to park but the parking deck and they charge you to park there and they interrupted my vacation to make me move my vehicle. Considering that I paid $300 to stay one night and I paid if memory serves me correctly $16 to park in the parking deck that I had to park in I don’t feel like this is acceptable.

The hotel was dirty and most importantly, their elevator didn’t work!! Super inconvenient with family of 6 and trying to haul beach supplies, bags, and drinks down 4 or 5 flights of stairs. Then to go back up after a long day! Ridiculous! I’ll never be back here.
