Sadly, the hotel is in need of maintenance and upgrading. The keys routinely don’t work. There is a sign at the front desk alerting people that the keys don’t work and please be patient. In my room, the bathroom doorknob was ready to fall off. The water ran continuously (about every 8 seconds) in the toilet. Everyone commented how the hallway signage was just crazy. No one had any idea how to get to their room. I remember when the Heritage was a nice hotel. Not anymore.

The staff at this hotel are extremely unfriendly, no customer service skills. The bathtub was filthy, hot tub was dirty water and I only just turned in financial problems because they refuse to give you any more than one room key. When the room key wasn’t working, went to get it reactivated and the staff argued and said yes it worked and had to fight for them to reprogram it or give a new key. Never said anything about the bathtub because I felt like they would dismiss my request to have it cleaned. Once this hotel dropped “Best Western” off of their brand, they’ve lost any accountability to a standard. I would probably feel better staying at a homeless shelter than at this dive.

Room was not ready at the advertised check-in time. Front desk clerk was unenthusiastic and expected to charge my credit card for the room, which had already been paid for. Checked the bathroom as soon as we got in the room and found that the tub/shower had not been cleaned thoroughly. No hand soap in the bathroom, had to return to the front desk to get soap. In-room WiFi would not connect. Strong smell of pool chlorine throughout the reception area and cigarette smoke odors in our non-smoking room.
