Romantic accommodation in Gramercy

The hallway carpets are dirty. So are the room carpets. There was a janky window a/c installed with some flimsy plastic sheeting around it; even in the 16th floor it was like sleeping with the window wide open and incredibly loud. No kettle or coffee maker. The bathroom was minute. The window blinds had been hung by a novice and were scratched and missing pulls. The room doors are thin - you can hear people’s conversations as you walk through the halls. I checked out the next morning and stayed elsewhere.

Adrian looked after us at checkin and he was excellent. Ask for room away from stairwell door which bangs loudly. Otherwise, an excellent stay at a lovely reasonably-priced hotel in Manhattan. Great location too.

Very nice hotel with great rooms (super comfy beds and nice sheets) and a great overall feel including many nice side activities included (yoga, comedy show) - would come back any time

I picked the hotel due to location with Madison Square Garden. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and courteous. Will stay again

The location of this hotel is amazing, no question—but it’s a little rough around the edges (e.g., rust spot in the tub, peeling wallpaper, broken shade, broken drawer in nightstand). Also, these rooms are made for TALL people. I’m on the shorter side (5 ft, 4 in.), and there were some things (like the closet) that were a bit challenging. The fitness center is fine, but they have two large televisions with no remote, which was a bummer. But the location is really quite fabulous.

Bed sheets were dirty with a huge brown stain in the middle of the sheet. No one came to change it.
