Had the most wonderful stay at Arlo Midtown in NYC. Close enough to Times Square and the Theatre District but far enough away that you don't hear the noise. The service was top notch. Kenneth helped check us in when we arrived and he went above and beyond. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a city view and they even had a card and chocolate for us when we arrived. The room was so clean, the bed incredibly comfortable, the amenities in the room were great, from daily canned water to full size shampoo/conditioner and body wash from Pharmacopia. Nice to not have to bring our own. Little touches everywhere that showed they care about their guests. The elevator service was unique, just tap your room key and you are brought directly to your floor. A must see is the rooftop bar. We managed to get there before last call on our last night so only had 1 drink but they let us stick around to take some pictures after close. Great view of the Empire State building. This will be our go to hotel when we return again.

I love this property. It is super convenient to the theater district and Times Square. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely decorated. And, the customer service is fantastic.

Great overall but prioritise paying guests

We had an amazing 5 days in New York and the hotel reallly great in most aspects. Check in and out was quick and easy. We stored out bags on the last day and the hotel arranged a taxi back to JFK. $118 flat rate which was a bit more expensive than the cab that brought us in. All the hotel staff we came into contact with were friendly and provided excellent service. We ate in the bar one night but had food from the restaurant menu which was excellent if a bit pricey. We used the hotel gym and it was well equipped. The only negative was that we choose the hotel for the amenities such as the bar, restaurant and rooftop terrace. On the majority of the nights the bar was packed and there was no space due to functions being held for outside groups eg external companies. Also we wanted to go up to the rooftop terrace but we were told it was full. It seems a shame that paying guests are not able to use some of the facilities as they are reserved for other functions.

A very conveniently located and nicely updated hotel in midtown. Close to Time Square and Broadway theatres. When you first walk in, the hotel and restaurants have a very cool vibe and energy which have the potential to be so much better than they are. The customer service at the front desk is inconsistent. Some of the staff were lovely, helpful and accommodating. Others we found to be dismissive and rude. The cocktail bar has terrible service and we felt like we were inconveniencing them by sitting down. We waited forever for a very average meal. The rooms are small but comfortable. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at with no coffee or tea offered in the room. Overall, the hotel had a very transactional feeling. A nice enough place but not nice enough to stay at again.

This is an awesome boutique hotel with a rooftop view of everything. The entire experience … from the aesthetic to the scent … to the location (walking from the train station and Times Square) … it’s all perfect. This is now the only place we stay when visiting Manhattan.
