► Pet stays must be approved BEFORE you book.
► Dog owners, please scroll down for details how to request a pet stay.

Welcome to your new, favorite cabin in the Smokies! Swaying Pines--now in its 23rd year as a family vacation getaway--is only a 5 minute drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. And the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Gatlinburg entrance is only 6.5 miles away.

You'll be right around the corner (about 200 feet) from a community catch-and-release 5 acre fishing lake. Since it's private property, you won't need a fishing license. Just pack your poles and try your best angling skills on the bass, catfish, sunfish and grass carp. Or if you're not into fishing, take a peaceful morning walk by the water and watch the resident ducks and seasonal geese.

What can you expect outdoors at this cabin?

► Paved driveway and parking for 2-3 vehicles
► 5 steps up to the deck
► Small yard with horseshoe pits (non-regulation)
► Large deck with outdoor dining and seat cushions
► Nordic hot tub (4-5 person) with cover lift bar
► Charcoal grill
► Outdoor lighting (well-lit driveway and deck)
► Schlage keyless entry with your own, unique key code

Once inside, you'll see the living/dining area and just beyond that the kitchen. Right off the kitchen is the master bedroom with king bed, bathroom and laundry. The second floor has a full bed at the top of the stairs in the loft and a queen bed in the bedroom. The second floor bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a tiled stall shower. Here's what you'll find in both bedrooms:

► King bed: Novaform ComfortGrande Plus, Advanced Gel Memory Foam for temperature regulation and medium firmness

► Queen bed: Novaform 3" memory foam plush topper on commercial coil-spring mattress. This bed is ideal if you like a bit softer, pillow-top mattress.

► Plush pillows and quality linens (we replace our pillows every 12-18 months)
► Ceiling fan
► Desk, chair and desk lamp
► Dresser or armoire for clothing storage
► Extra large mirrored closet
► Luggage rack
► Wooden hangers
► 55" Insignia smart TV with Spectrum cable in master bedroom
► 46" Sharp smart TV with Spectrum cable in queen bedroom.

The kitchen is well-equipped with quality cookware, glass bakeware, half-sheet baking pans, pizza pan, wood cutting board and knife block, grilling utensils, etc. Swaying Pines has plenty of small appliances, too:

► Cuisinart waffle maker
► Ninja smoothie blender
► Crockpot
► Toaster
► Keurig
► Drip coffeemaker
► Electric kettle
► Icemaker (in freezer)

Finally, the living space. We've stayed in a few hotels and vacation rentals over the years and discovered it's hard to find really comfortable furniture. That why we invested in quality reclining furniture (the sofa is electric). The dining table and chairs are over 20 years old but they're solid and sit comfortably. We even have some chair pads on them for a little extra cush :). We have blackout blinds at the windows and louvered door blinds for added privacy. There's a variety of good lighting (accent, task and ambient).

There is a single Ring security floodcam that lights up the driveway as you pull in. The video field is trimmed to record only the driveway and the 5 stairs leading up to the cabin. This camera allows us to monitor inclement weather at the cabin and have a record of when our housekeeping, pest control or any other service providers have been there. We don't actively monitor this camera but may do so occasionally if something requires our attention.

We want you to have an amazing vacation and make sure Swaying Pines is a good fit for your needs. Please let us know if you have any questions prior to booking!

Fun family vacation home!

This house fit our family of 4 (2 boys ages 11 and 18) perfectly! The house had games which we played every night after our days out in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg then relaxed in the hot tub!! I would make sure to arrive to the place during the daylight for the first time, it was tricky to find with the sharp turns and narrow roads, but would definitely recommend to stay here as it was out of the busy cities yet so close to everything!

The cabin and location are top notch. We have been to the area multiple times and will continue to stay at this cabin again when we make our plans if it’s available. It is private and the amenities are phenomenal. It was just me and my wife this time however it is spacious enough that we plan on bringing our kids back in the spring. The host responds promptly and is very pleasant to work with.

Perfect location for us!

We loved Swaying Pines. Perfect location. We were visiting family for our nephews wedding. Cabin had all we needed and it was beautiful inside and out. Would definitely stay there again. So far best we've rented for our needs in comparison to past rentals.

We had the best time staying here! It was clean inside and out. You are located a few miles from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but secluded from all of the hustle and bustle of the tourists. All of the beds were very comfortable, check in and out was easy, it came with many extra amenities like a hair dryer (I forgot mine), shampoos and body wash, cooking supplies for your grilling needs. I cannot think of any complaints.

Great location

Cabin and property exceptionally clean. Allows pets but does not smell like it! Location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge is perfect. Only /- 1 mile from the parkway, and easy to find. One way road through the "neighborhood" worked fantastic, very low traffic. Nearby pond is lovely, and is full of fish, although my sons and I were unable to catch any (believe the fish are fed maybe??). Property is exactly as listed. Very well equipped kitchen, big showers, comfy beds. Loved the porch/yard area. Outdoor lighting was really good as well

Wonderful Stay

This is our second time at this wonderful cabin. It is a short drive to the Great Smokey National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabin was clean with lots of amenities. Communication was great - from booking to check in to check out - very easy and smooth. Loved the new fire pit. Only things missing were a pizza cutter and a small cooler to pack a picnic. Will definitely be back again.

Swaying Pines was a cozy, quiet charming retreat for us. The dogs enjoyed the walks down the road and around the pond. The trees we bursting with new greenery and the whit dogwoods were the purest white against the rain soaked trees.

Everything you need

We really enjoyed our stay at Swaying Pines. The home is well kept, well stocked and very organized. It is tidy and quant with comfy furniture and beds. The first night of our stay it was pretty cold however the home heater wasn't warming the house. I notified Jen and she had an HVAC tech come out the next day and fixed the heater which was very appreciated. We were looking for a quiet area and it was perfect for our family of four adults, one 10 yr old and two small dogs. Highly recommend )

Perfect cabin for our weekend trip

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway with the kids and in-laws. Everything was clean and exactly as described in the listing. We all enjoyed the beautiful deck, hot tub, and fishing in the neighborhood lake. We took our senior dog with us and he enjoyed a walk around the lake as well. Check in was very easy and communication with Jen the manager was wonderful throughout the process. The location might be the best part. It is very easy to get to and couldn't be more convenient right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You can literally be to either town in about 5 minutes, but it's still far enough off of the parkway to be very quiet. We 100% plan to stay here again the next time we make it to the mountains.

Relaxing and wonderful stay

This was our second time staying at this beautiful property. It’s relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. It’s conveniently located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in a very quiet area. Everything was thought of including stain spray for your clothes to do laundry. There were snacks and sparkling water for us, as well. We stayed here January 13th, 2025 to January 17th, 2025 to celebrate our belated 20th anniversary. We brought our 19 year old son and his 18 year old friend. They enjoyed playing video games upstairs and had their own area to hang out. The cabin was very clean. The fireplace didn’t work when we got in but they had their repair man fix it the next day. The bed and the sheets in the master room are very comfortable and soft. The only thing is that the mattress kept shifting to the right side. When I would get into the bed, I had to be careful it wouldn’t cause me to slide off the bed. A bit comical really. We’ll definitely stay here again.
