The location was perfect. The problem was the mattress on the bed needed replacing. You would roll to the middle of the bed. There was no substance to this mattress. Also, the bed sheets were old and very thin.

Interesting hostel type room with three other ladies and one small bathroom and for lockers. Parking was difficult, but it was in Key West. Roosters are loud, one hour before sunrise.

Riverside for Peace and Quiet

The Brookside Lodge was the best choice for our short visit to Gatlinburg. The city itself is a bit on the busy and noisy side for me, the Smoky Mountains were wonderful, so to have the quiet, quaint room at the Brookside Lodge was another great treat. The river ran noisily past our window, sitting on the deck with take out food from the Thai restaurant down the street was magical! I hope to be able to return here in the future. Thank you to all!

It was inexpensive, outdated. I can tell that they tried to do some updates, but the room had a horrible old smell. It was very off putting. The place reminded me of the lodge on John Candy 's" The Great Outdoors"

The balcony rooms overlooking the creek was absolutely beautiful! It was my favorite part! Some may criticize the weathered look of the property but I loved the outdoorsy feel. Our room was clean and fresh!

Our room of this property was very nice with a relaxing view of the lake. It was clean and cute with a fire place which we didn’t use. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were there for a soccer tournament and the staff had my son feel very special. They also offer shuttle transportation right a front of the office which was very convenient for us to check out Gatlinburg town with its many attractions. The front desk staff was really helpful with any questions I had. The staff granted me extended time on checkout day for a small fee since we had another game to attend. Which allowed my son and I to check out the skylift with sky bridge before heading home. The location is great, we would definitely come back. I honestly have only one small negative thing to mention I wish that eggs or some sort of breakfast meat would be offered with the continental breakfast they offer. This was our first time going to a hotel that offers continental breakfast without eggs or breakfast meat. But their pancakes were delicious! Thanks for the great weekend experience.
