The lobby is nice and gives a good first impression. However, the rooms are in serious need of updating. The bathroom is very outdated, the carpet is filthy, and the AC unit is old and noisy. Overall, the room didn’t feel very clean. I was disappointed, especially since this is considered a grand hotel. That said, the lower price point now makes sense.

Inconsistent Service

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the last year-and-a-half when I come to Gainesville. The hotel is convenient for my personal purposes. Primarily, I like this hotel for its location, pool/hot tub and it’s breakfast bar. The rooms are in need of modernization and that requirement has not changed in the time period of my visits. Recently, I have noticed a trend during my visits. When there is an event scheduled at the hotel, which seems to happen on many weekends, their other services suffer. This past weekend was Mother’s Day. The breakfast bar on Sunday was not only sub-standard, it was horrendous. There was no omelette bar and there was no service attendant caring for the available stations. The hot food stations were in disarray and the food was cold. This is very disappointing. On the other two days of my visit to breakfast bar was available and there were attendance present in the breakfast area.

I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel for the price. It was amazing. Breakfast was awesome; hot eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy! Also an omelette station one morning and a yogurt bar with all the toppings! The pool was very spacious; water was the perfect temperature. The only thing negative I could say is a couple things are outdated, but not to the point where I would think it’s not clean. Definitely stay here if you’re in the area.

Bedding and towels were not clean at all. Thankfully I travel with my own, but there were spots on the fitted mattress sheet once I pulled back the duvet and spots all over the duvet. The wash cloths were almost sticky they were so dirty, and all I wanted to do was dry my hands. If the room was clean I’d give it 5 stars, but based on the whole experience, 3.5 stars

how can i pay $400 at night with this terrible hotel we not give even 1 star! we been lots of hotel all stars and we booked 2 rooms for 2 days to my daughter graduation hotel not have 2 beds only one bad and other sofa beds and we booked 2 beds per room but worst is they not clean or change the towels very disapointed never more this hotel
