Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
This property’s overall condition was terrible…we were first given a first floor room that was beyond filthy in every aspect ( mold, dust, dust bunnies, dead insets, ashtray smell, and 2 live roaches ). We notified the staff and they were understanding and accommodating. They moved us to the 3rd floor. We were told that the hotel was under new management and renovations were being made, and although we did notice that, it made us wonder why they would initially give us a substandard room - one that was obviously neither part of the recent renovation, nor has been cleaned…
Even in the second room given to us, the pillows were mismatched ( and hardly could be called pillows ) and neither of the four had pillow cases. The iron’s cord was cut and had baked on crud on it.
There was visible trash in the staircase the entire weekend as well.
This was UF graduation weekend, and we were in Gainesville for my son’s graduation, so hotel rooms were tough to come by. We paid nearly $600 for the 2 night stay here, and felt robbed by the whole experience….
