The hotel itself is clean, newer, and comfortable. The area around the hotel is run down but not unsafe. We stayed in this area to travel to Big Bend which is 90 minutes away. The breakfast staff was friendly and welcoming.

No sleeping in if you want breakfast

Our stay was average, nothing stood out. We had been traveling a lot so took advantage of a slow morning which was a mistake as far as getting breakfast. They closed by 9:30 am and did not offer anything but a “yep we’re closed” Our room only had one coffee cup so couldn’t get us both a coffee either.
