Everything was just fine here. We would probably stay there again. All the service was excellent except one. Why? The evening snack treat could replace a small evening meal. There's even a bar. We went to get the chile dog and have a drink to relax from our long drive.
When we entered the room, a man was "tending" bar. As we walked toward the bar he just looked at us with this mean kind of face. Didn't say a word.
We asked about beer on tap (2 taps). The one hubbie would've wanted wasn't available. We noticed it, he didn't say anything. So we looked around to see if there was anything else obvious to choose from. Nothing, and still not a word, just a scowling bartender.
We began to walk away, and finally the bartender said "we have bottled beer." Hubbie shook his head and said let's go next door.
Our critique is this: normally a bartender has a friendly greeting, asking "what can I get you?" etc. Not a scowl, like "why are you bothering me" - so that guy either needs training on how to tend bar, or shouldn't be there at all. If he doesn't like interacting with people, or being helpful - that's not the job for him - do something else.
At the restaurant next store, service was excellent, so at least that turned our mood around.
Otherwise all hotel staff was excellent. And the room was clean, and comfy.
