I had a truly horrible experience at this hotel. They refused to honor my Expedia reservation, claiming they never received payment. When I arrived, the staff told me the “best option” was to rebook directly with them at nearly double the original rate, since it would now be considered a last-minute booking.
Expedia tried to resolve the situation, but the hotel falsely reported that I was a no-show—even as I stood there in the lobby. I wasn’t the only one: while I waited (over two and a half hours), I saw several other guests being told there were “issues” with their Expedia reservations. The staff showed no concern, were completely unhelpful, and were rude in how they handled the situation. I was told they did have rooms but I would have to pay directly at a much higher rate, and I am sure they do that continuously because they get away with it. Not much else is around at a walking distance.
In the end, Expedia refunded me, but that didn’t solve the problem of being stranded without a room. I ended up checking into the DoubleTree next door. Yes, it cost me twice as much, but the difference in service was night and day. The DoubleTree staff were professional, welcoming, and made my stay comfortable.
If you’re considering this hotel, do yourself a favor and skip the Executive Inn entirely. Go straight to the DoubleTree next door—you’ll save yourself a lot of stress and actually be treated like a valued guest.
