My family and I recently stayed here for 1 night. We loved the convenience of the hotel being walking distance to everything downtown. The staff were super nice as well. When I booked, I thought I read the hotel had continental breakfast, but I was mistaken - that was a little confusing. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

We were warned by the Bellman at our car that the parking lot was a “pretty long walk” away, so we chose valet parking. The desk clerk was lackluster in responsiveness. We tried to buy bottled water at sign in, but learned there was none. There was no chair in the room. We later realized that since we wanted to leave at 6am, we needed assurance the attendant would be there, and then realized there was a small sign saying valet services started at 7 am. The Bellman said he would try to get there earlier, but we didn’t feel assured. There was only one boring channel available on the TV. The room was neat and tidy, but “Spartan-like” in decor and comfort. Even though it was 11pm and we were tired, since we were only an hour and half away from home, we saw nothing accommodating enough of our needs, or appealing enough about the room or the hotel, to justifying staying overnight and left at that time to drive home rather than stay. And then we learned there were more fees than we had understood would be applied, making the room more expensive that we had expected! We have no idea what others see to give the room such a high consumer rating, which was a large part of our considerations in choosing to book the room.

Very nice experience. Staff was very courteous, efficient and friendly. NOT a complaint, but, one of the sliding doors in the room was completely off track. Did not impact stay at all.

Nice property, although all the restaurants on property were closed. Room comfortable, very large shower. Sadly our trip was abruptly ended when the fire alarm started blaring at 5am. With 3 kids at home, one of the main points of the trip was getting to comfortably sleep in. We were evacuated by police, the building cleared after by fireman. Never any smoke seen or explanation given. When we were allowed back inside, the alarm was off but the interior lights continued to flash and we were unable to go back to sleep and chose to check out and go home instead. Unfortunate start to a birthday celebration. Oh well.

This hotel was very dirty! The carpet in our room looked like it hasnt been cleaned in 100 years, the shower has filth built up around the tiles, furniture all stained, walls with dirt and other nastiness all over them, cobwebs in the corners, bathroom outlet by the sink hanging out of the wall and so much more. The best part was when the window above the bed started leaking at 1am and then water coming into the walls/ceiling. Woke up and stepped on carpet soaked with water from the walls! Our room was not only disgusting but a fire hazard. Told the front staff on check-out about the room condition and she showed little care that it was dirty! Asked no questions about how it was dirty or anything. All she offered was a $25 credit for the inconvenience. Then I get home and they overcharged my stay by almost $60. Called and spoke to a manager. She offered a $75 dollar credit and assured me that was coming off after she fixed the bill to the correct stay amount. Well, that didnt happen and the $75 was taken off the incorrect bill amount. At this point, Im cutting my losses and removing them places to stay.

I expected more for being one of the highest rated hotels in FarmVille, VA. The room was small, no working area for laptop set-up and no explanation of hotel amenities. On-site restaurants and Hotel staff were excellent!

Nice hotel. Great location but a bit pricey.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and comfy beds. Convenient location to restaurants and the High Bridge trail. My only complaint was that the hotel charged over $18 in additional fees than the price quoted on hotels.com. I likely would not have booked this hotel if I had known this. Also did not realize when I booked that breakfast was not included.

Booked the stay eight months prior to attend college graduation. Was contacted for payment prior to stay and asked to sign a contract two weeks prior or risked losing both rooms booked - felt pressured and somewhat shady. Confusion at front desk when checking in. Hot water issues and technical issues with TV/connection. Tons of potential here, just very poorly executed and not worth the price charged - at least not today.
