The room smelled like fish to the point that I had to go buy a candle and air freshener. They only provided two towels. When I requested pull up service, the owner actually asked if I couldn’t make the bed myself. Then he proceeded to say to my boyfriend, “you own her for now at least, right?!” Referring to me. Are you kidding me? This is the US and it’s 2025. I’m a doctor! Nobody has ever or will ever OWN me! That said, the location was perfect for fishing, which is what we wanted. Sadly, it did not meet my standards, even though I prepared myself for it not being bougie. Bougie is one thing… fresh and clean is a whole other thing! And not being insulted isn’t too much to ask for!

Very nice place to stay! Its right on the lake and the view is absolutely beautiful! There is a restaurant is right next to the motel and the Dollar General is literally right next door! Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Only down fall was there was no coffee pot in the room.

Great stay

Beds were comfortable and the property is quiet. Really a nice stay. Is it brand new, no but did not encounter any of the issues from other reviews. If you’re bougie… find another place and take your reviews with you. Nice people, great stay.

Lakeside views included

A nice lakeside motel.A bit dated/older - My room was clean the lower level had a nice lake view until a large SUV parked right in front of my window. :( Apparently you need a top floor room to avoid that. Small lakeside restaurant between the motel and the lake. About 25 minutes from Ruston. Farmersville had a well stoked grocery store

The room was updated and looked nice. The issue was there were several roaches crawling on the walls and floor. I was really grossed out and would have left, but was in town for a funeral and there were no other options available. I will not go back where there are roaches crawling. Ugh!!!!
