At check-in I had to pay the pet fee as expected but also had to pay an incidence fee. Room smelled of urine, the faucet sink dripped all night, the bathroom door did not latch, overall the room felt dirty and dated. When I checked my bank account the following morning they charged we for two pets instead of one. They did take the charge off but it won’t deposit into my bank account t for up to 5 days.

My wife and I really looked forward to staying at La Quinta in Erie. We stayed there many times in the past, but it closed for renovations. This was our first visit since the renovations. The staff were unprofessional (obviously had no training in Hotel Management or customer greeting). A staff member was particularly unhelpful when asked for a pat of butter after the dining area was closed. There were many such items in the pantry adjacent to the dining area, but we were told the dining room was closed. No special favors. We specifically asked for a main-floor room in the special request area when booking. We were cavalierly assigned a room on the top (third) floor. The room had no luggage table, just an open area. The toilet paper in the room was put on the roll with the paper packaging still intact. There were no water cups in the washroom. Our room keys did not work on the second night, necessitating several trips up and down from the third floor to rectify the issue. Our room's ceramic tile floor was sticky when walked on barefoot. The renovations were merely cosmetic--our shower door metal encasement was rusty at floor level, the windows were so milky as to make it impossible to see outside...I could go on, but what is the use? The worst hotel experience I have ever endured. Never will return. Waste of money.

I booked this space for my family to take a break at the midpoint of our road trip to Indiana. My primary requirement for a space was having an indoor pool so that my children could unwind after a day in the car. When we checked in, the pool was closed. Additionally, I booked the space based on 5 sleeping spaces (2 adults and 3 children). The attendant said that the spaces had a pull out couch bed, however it did not (2 double beds only). We went to call the desk but the phone did not work, so we went to talk to them and the attendant told us they do not have those pull out couches or cots. A double was too small for me to sleep with 2 children while my SO slept with the 3rd older child, so I got horrible sleep.

horrible stay

the room was very dirty.. paint chips on walls and front door. front door not locked when we arrived at the room. 3 tries to get keys to work. spigot in bathroom sink wobbled. painting was terrible in bathroom. we could not even look out of our windows they were so dirty. no coffee for coffee maker in room. caulking in shower was pulling back and dirty and corners of room was dirty. no place to put the shampoo or conditioner in shower. no grab bars in shower. breakfast was bad. the only good thing about our stay was the front desk people were awesome and very friendly. it was not worth 179.00 and 161.00 for those nights it to me was not worth 20.00 a stay. it was horrible. we will never stay in a La Quinta ever again. we are not happy about any of this. i will be letting my friends and family know not to book there either. we come to erie pa all the time but we will never stay there ever again. I thought Wyndham was a better hotel chain than this place..

NOT worth the $200 per night/go elsewhere!

This was a one night stay. This room was terrible. The room smelled really musty, moldy, mildewy. The refrigerator was completely jacked inside. The TV remote didn’t work properly. The thermostat to the room didn’t function properly. There were several partially removed stickers that were never cleaned properly. The drywall in the bedroom was cracked and looked water stained as if there was a water leak (the room is on the top floor). The ceiling plaster was coming apart from water damage and not repaired. The door jamb to the bathroom was sticky and paint chipped, and the security bolt on the room door was completely broken and never replaced. The wifi was intermittent and slow, and part of the railing in the elevator was broken and never replaced. When I complained, the receptionist said, “yeah, we’ve had a lot of similar complaints lately.” Needless to say, I had zero confidence in eating the free breakfast. For over $200 per night, what a rip off. This was a disaster.
the refrigerator’s shelving and freezer door were ripped out as was the door shelving.
the peep hole in the door looked like someone tried to cover it up.
the drywall had a crack in it….and it looks water damaged
this is the plaster of the ceiling almost over the bed. It’s coming out and water stained. The room smelled bad, musty, mildew, moldy.

On this trip I had booked 2 rooms and BOTH rooms had blood on the comforter. This hotel was old and dated. There were several broken windows throughout property. The carpet in the room was filthy. It was also very loud.

The staff tried to maintain friendliness the weekend in spite of being very busy booked and people being upset that the pool was down the first few days we were there. I always try and be very nice to the staff because they have to work whether we're nice or not. That being said the first two days we were there at the pool was down which put a damper on my daughter's vacation. The hotel itself was sort of run down with broken ice machine on the first floor and the elevator was broken when you walked in. Our room was not as dirty as you might read on the reviews. It wasn't super fancy but it was doable for the cost. The beds were fairly comfortable and the TV worked fine as well as the ac. The breakfast was fine. That being said

We over all had a terrible stay. First we got charged 3 times for our room. We stayed 4 nights and had to go back and keep telling them to take charges off our card. Then the door handle on the bathroom door fell off which they never fixed. The main door had trouble shutting you had to lift it up to shut and kick the bottom in to open. There were Pringle chips at the head of our bed between the mattress. How do you miss that making a bed? The staff was nice but overall the stay was awful.

Windows broken, elevator hand rail broken,. On the bathroom mirror it states that rooms will be clean daily and fresh linen would be provided. It did not happen at all. You have to ask for those things to be done which the information was not provided at check in. Room.and a sticky substance on floo and felt moist .
