I don’t recommend eating at the dennys on site. The jailhouse restaurant across the street is good. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. I also wouldn’t recommend the casino. There hasn’t been a jackpot win since 2022 from what their advertisement showed.

Dead bugs on the floor, black hair in several places in the bathroom shower. Soap supplied was broken into very small pieces. Window without a screen in the bathroom was left open.

The casino was very used. Cigarette smell was awful. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was very polite. The only downfall was the casino .

We had an amazing stay! We booked the family suite because it had a bunk bed with queen sized beds. It was perfect for our young teenagers. It was nice that they could be in their own room with their own TV. We loved the history of the hotel. My husband really enjoyed walking the halls looking at old photos and reading about them. Added bonus were the free drinks at the bar and the Denny’s coupons we received when we checked in. Only negative thing was the cigarette smoke when in the lobby, luckily it wasn’t in the rooms. We stayed in Ely at the beginning of the week on our way through at a different hotel and said we would never stay in Ely again. Wish we would have found this place first. Luckily we found it for our way back through.

My stay was not great. My room overlooked the front of the hotel/casino and the drapes did not block the light. Between the bright lights and the traffic noise, it was difficult to sleep. The room felt cramped and there were stains all over the carpet that made it feel not clean.

Historical hotel. On check-in we were given two drink coupons two discount coupons for the restaurant that was nice. We had a pleasant three night stay. Only have house keeping if you stay 4 days. Only two kcups of coffee 1 decaf 1 tea 1 bottle of water for three nights. Need to empty in room waist can by the ice machine. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom amenities were good. Lots of parking behind hotel. All in all it was nice to stay in a historic hotel
