Was glad to be able to stay here on my Christmas trip down to Alabama. It was a good "mid point" stop and right off the highway. They did have an indoor pool but I did not use it. I liked my 2nd floor cozy room and the breakfast in the morning was good as well. Check in was quick and easy, with a friendly welcoming staff. I would stay here again on future trips. There are a number of other hotels and restaurants in the area as well.

We were pleased to see that this hotel allowed dogs for a nominal fee, coupled with reviews that said the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, when we got to our room, we smelled cigarette smoke (in a non smoking room), as well as crumbs and dust clearly visible on the floor. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone didn’t work. Anyway, we were moved to a cleaner room. In terms of breakfast, it’s just an average continental breakfast that the majority of hotels offer, nothing “great”, but free is free.

The breakfast was great as usual and the bed was comfortable. The only thing different than when we stayed before the room was not spotless as before. But it was clean enough ( carpeting and upholstery needed some cleaning). We come through a couple time a year and will stay again next time.

Stumbled upon this place last year passing thru on a long roadtrip. The faux tropical indoor pool area, the good reviews and the rate lured us in. It did not disappoint then and just by happenstance, ended up needing to overnight on same route. Forgot about it til I saw it marked in my Favorites. Same friendly and professional man working front desk. Very personable. Still a great place. Clean, comfy room, the indoor pool-patio area is a great place to lounge away from the room. Breakfast spread is generous (especially given the room rate): Eggs, sausage patties, s-gravy/biscuits; two waffle irons a et al. Just be aware that the brkfast lady starts packing up and clearing out early. We arrived 25 min before end time. The hot food was pretty much gone and not getting replenished. I asked and she obliged with small replenishments in the chafers but other guests weren’t so lucky. (If this was to not have leftover food go to waste then totally understand). Worth mentioning the coffee was very good Regardless, still an awesome place. Highly recommend for all travelers who don’t need a 5-star hotel brand. This one is just as good for a fraction of the cost.
