Room was clean enough. There were a bunch of guests being super noisy until after 10pm then road construction continued through the night on the access road outside the hotel and woke me up several times. The room seemed secure, but we added an additional travel lock to the door just because the keyless, contactless entry had me feeling a little wary. Television worked, did not try the coffee machine. Shower gets quite hot and room HVAC and heat were working fine. Carpet was quite worn in some spots, the sink was missing a drain plug so some upkeep is needed. The rooms apparently have very sensitive smoke detectors so they might get set off with a steamy shower according to signage- We did not experience this. We found breakfast at Andros Diner in Fairfield, CT before continuing our trip on the Merritt. Wouldn’t stay again just because of the noise.

Was the worst experience that I’ve had in a hotel being in Chill business I must’ve stayed in thousands of hotel rooms for my 50th anniversary. I thought it would be cool to stay in the hotel that we stayed in the night we got married. It turned out to be a complete nightmare room by a dumpster a heater the banged and howled all night long a TV that wouldn’t work. I only should not stay here you shouldn’t even drive by.

Nice place. Rooms and beds are good. Not huge. Clean. Watch your knees and ankles cause the bed corners (though padded) stick out from mattress. The attached Barcelona restaurant and bar is a standout! Beer wine sangria, full bar with craft cocktails. Great tapas etc.

Nope! pay the extra $ for user-friendly hotels!

When I arrived to check-in to the two queen bed suite (I believe it was Room 308) that I had reserved, my door code didn’t work. I had called previously to confirm my late arrival, so there would not be a problem. I had to call the no-contact style help desk for assistance. I was standing outside on the back side of the hotel in the pitch dark. My fault for thinking this tech-hotel crap was for me… It’s great in the hotel.com when you see it, but super inconvenient if you have a problem and need assistance. They had to reset the code and send it to me. Then I get into the room and discovered the deadbolt didn’t lock at all. The door was only secured with the auto lock. When I inspected the deadbolt, I noticed arm was nowhere near the hole in the door frame, so there’s no way it had locked/secured for previous guests. I’m a female Air Force veteran with PTSD (26 active-duty years) and personal security is top priority for me. I called to request a new room with 2 queen beds and was told they were fully booked, so I was given a single queen bed in a smaller room (I believe it was Room 311 or 313) that had a deadbolt that actually was installed properly and locked. Because I no longer had two queen beds, my goddaughter didn’t have a place to sleep because the room only accommodated my daughter and myself. I hated the entire situation and could not wait for this trip to be over.

was so displeased with my recent stay I decided to check out early.Due to the fact my rest was interrupted several times beginning on the morning at about 4am the fire alarm went off and wasn’t shut off until about an hour later. After that it happened a second time later in the afternoon while my daughter and I were trying to rest.I contacted the property to be accomodated being that I would be charged for an extra night and they didn't respond at all.

The lightbulbs in the room were all dead (figured that out late at night), except the bathroom. There was no wifi to check in and the cell service was terrible. Had to drive to another location to check-in. The person working didn’t offer any help with check in except to drive until there was service. Tried the tv but it’s Roku and with no wifi, no tv. Got a rude wake up call when people banged on the door hours before check out (multiple times) to test the smoke detectors. Extremely disappointing stay to say the least.
