This resort had some nice features--the main building and grounds are being mostly kept up. There were flowers decorating the outside of the main building, and the grounds were mowed, and the pond was pretty. The other buildings show signs of wear like pieces of siding cracking off, worn outdoor carpet, sagging wood. Also, there were lots of stumps around the property. Our toilet wasn't flushing/draining properly, and it took awhile to get someone there to fix it, but it was fixed. The fish I ordered in the restaurant was overcooked, but they re-did it to the proper temperature.

We have been to Indian head a few times over the last few years, and more recently, twice this summer. We have never had an issue with cleanliness until this stay. There was a hair curler in one of the beds, and a candy wrapper next to the trash. Also, at check in this time (and last month) there was one person working who was completely overwhelmed. The first time, I waited for 30 minutes to check in because of the line and the lack of staff. This time, I waited for 10 minutes at the desk until someone came out (I had to call the hotel directly to request someone to come to the desk.) Other than that great stay, grounds are nice, food is surprisingly good at the restaurant and the kids love the pool/hot tub/paddle boats!

My problem with this property was that I rented an accessible room due to the need for handicap accessibility... the only thing that surrounded the word accessible was the very large shower that was in my accessible room. My room was on the second floor I could take an elevator from the bottom floor to the second floor to get to my room that was fine but there was no way to get to the pool if I had the need to bring a wheelchair or a walker we had to go up and down the stairs in order to use the accommodations it was very very disappointing. Each of my friends have had surgery you've had hip surgery tibia surgery leg surgery pelvic surgery hernia surgery so we rented an accessible room and the accommodations were not accessible for anybody who would be severely handicapped or need of getting around in a wheelchair

It was an amazing stay, there are other services around like water parks especially if you have kids and walkable to. Want more restaurant option beside the hotel one take a quick drive on the other side just drive straight down into the Woodstock area. Heated pool indoor and outdoor I didn’t get to try just wasn’t interested. Hey! but I took quick walk around pool area looks clean enough to me. Great view both river and mountain of the Indian head. My only thing I wasn’t to happy about, I did all the paperwork signed and submitted online at around 11AM and added a special romance bundle for $80. When we got to the desk for our 4PM check in got our key card, cross the street to our Mountain View room to surprise my girlfriend, open the door and the romantic bundle wasn’t there. I played it off like nothing happened because there was this beautiful rainbow I kid you not a full rainbow when you look over across the main building. Anyway we went back to go check the gift shop and the pool area made a quick stop at the desk and asked the gentleman about the request I was told the person didn’t have enough time to do so. I didn't mind that because my card wasn’t charged, but at least a phone call or text would have been nice and I would have come up with a plan B. They did give me the option to do it for the next day but I denied. That’s all I have to say and small talk little better communication. Sorry I had to give details just cause I know some would probably question.
