While attempting to take a spring break trip with my family, we were robbed our money for the four days we were supposed to be there. Upon checking in, I found the hotel to be disgusting. On the walk to the room the floor outside the room was soaking wet from a leaking ice machine; the smelled of mold already present. In the room there were stains the on the pillows, hairs in the bed and even more of a mold smell in the room. Upon requesting a refund for the horrible state of the room, the person at the front desk said that they could only move me. I said that for the sake of my family and allergies I couldn’t put them through a stay like this.
Even when I said that they could charge me for the first night or the stay, I just wanted to cancel the rest of my reservation. The hotel however, said that they couldn’t do that and I would have to speak to a manager. I sent multiple emails over the next couple of days trying to get out of the reservation. No response. During this time I had already booked another hotel as my families heath was not to be risked. Finally, upon going back to the hotel, I was told I would have to take it back up with Orbitz ( as they would be the ones to handle it).
Upon getting a response back from orbitz, it was found that the hotel continued to deny my request to get a refund for their unhealthy, unsanitary conditions that put the health of others above their profits. Do not stay at this hotel. They are desperate for money. Stay away!!!
