Great value

Road trip to visit several national parks in the Southwest and stayed one night at the Retro Inn. This was as good or better than the other hotels we stayed in, for one-third the price. Staff was friendly, service was awesome, the room was very clean and comfortable, and while we did not use the game room or BBQ's, they looked very family-friendly. This property is not fancy, is a little quirky, but definitely fun. We would definitely stay here again if ever in the neighborhood.

Very unique and comfortable room. Property is set in a fifties theme and offers a dog park, plus a simple breakfast bar. For the money it's a value. We will stay again if in the area.

Whenever we're in Cortez, we stay here, because it's not a chain, colorful, and relaxed. This time we stayed in the Clint Eastwood Room, where his photo was on the lime green walls. I'd like a little more furniture (no easy chair or desk), but I think the space comes in handy if you have kids. The grounds are lovely, and there's a dog walk.

Fun, family friendly

Each room has a "theme" from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. My room has a shower but no tub. I didn't need a tub but those traveling with small children may need to request a room with a tub. The game room has a pool table, tv, and room for those traveling together to congregate. They do a great job of fulfilling the "retro" theme. We loved it.
