Spend a few extra dollars somewhere else

Despite the main photo of the pool clearly showing a hot tub there is not one. It’s been boarded over. The locks on the room door were broken, the handle to the bathroom door was falling off, the tub didn’t drain, there was mold in the bathroom, the bed sheets were ripped, the walls were visibly dirty and there were socks tied on the pipe underneath the sink.

We had a large group of volunteer firefighters staying for an event in Coralville. Called ahead before booking to be sure that the pool & hot tub were working and a meeting room we could use as a gathering space. When we arrived the hot tub had been out of service for quite some time and meeting rooms under renovations. The gentlemen working was understanding and let us gather in the pool area. However the lady working the evening shift was completely rude. There was hardly any other guests outside of our group and she was upset we were gathering in the pool area and not swimming. Then was upset we used the breakfast area for pizza for our group even though we were told by the manager to do so. The hotel itself is mediocre and fine for a cheap hotel. However out of the 7 rooms multiple of them had stains on bed linens, gross bathrooms, etc.

I've officially stayed here 3 times. I believe there must be new ownership or management. The first 2 stays my only problem was with the staff, and specifically the GM. Now, the staff and manager were very friendly. Unfortunately the room prices doubled. The cleanliness of the room was horrible. The big tub is whole reason I came to stay here in first place, and it was so dirty,I had to clean the tub out before attempting to use it. This was my last attempt for this place. I will find a new option.
