The hotel is under construction with scaffolding to the ceiling through the entire atrium. That was not disclosed on their website nor the booking site. Not a good surprise! Our room was unfinished (missing a handle on the bathroom door), had a light that blinked on&off constantly, and our room door wouldn’t even shut/lock unless it was slammed. The room was also unclean & unsafe with broken glass (found by stepping on!), toenails, wrappers, … on the floor. Even after reporting the broken glass to both the front desk and directly to housekeeping, it was not cleaned when we returned the following evening. So gross, unsafe, and poor resolution! Not to mention, there was a fire in the building next to the hotel. We just wanted a good nights rest and were awakened to the smell of smoke! In this scary situation, there was no communication to guests what was going on with all the fire trucks, police, and commotion… The smoke was so strong we could smell it in our room and then on our clothes & belongings after we left. After all of this, we have not heard from management to compensate our stay as was promised by the front desk staff. We were informed that booking through Expedia complicates the refund, but still have not received a call from the hotel management. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel!!

Both the bathroom floor and room floor were not as clean as they should have been. The closet was an engineering disaster. The closet had a two bars to hang clothes and two shelves directly under the bars that render the clothes hanging bars totally useless. Engineered by an idiot and worse was not corrected by the manager. The room phone had a flashing red light that no one in the hotel knew how to shut off so I had to disconnect the phone. I would suggest replacing the manager with someone who is competent.
