Oversold

I notified the hotel at 6:37pm of my late arrival of 11:30pm. The friendly desk clerk stated “no problem, we have your room, drive safe”. Upon arrival no double queen was available so they offered a king room which would not suffice. After phone calls and room searches by the staff I was offered a double queen with sitting area that might have been recently carpet cleaned as the room was damp. We took the room but well after midnight we were awakened by an attempt to enter our room by a late arriving guest. Clerk at checkout was apologetic but beware the hotel will oversell your pre-paid room.

The pull out couch was so nasty we got extra sheetsets to cover everything. There is mold in the shower, there is dirt buildup at the air vent in the main room. My son cut the heel of his foot in the pool when a piece of it fell out. Now he has to walk around Disney next week with a cut foot! There was fire ants around the pool also, had to shake them out of our shoes. The staff was nice.

Easy check in, comfortable for a quick stay

We didn’t check in until 1am Due to traveling and the night auditor made it quick and easy for check in. They had a light on in our room which was nice so you weren’t arriving to a completely dark room and having to turn on the first bright light at the door with two sleeping kids. A piece of the floor molding had falling off and was in the hallway of our room. I did let them know at checkout. The breakfast attendant might have been having a bad day, but could be a bit more friendly. She seemed irritated that we moved two small tables together for our family of 4 cause there was not other large setting. They should post that their pool doesn’t open until Memorial Day. Which seems late for a southern state hotel, my son was so disappointed this was one of the reasons we booked the hotel because it has a pool for a morning swim.

I was awakened every time a door next to my room open and close. So basically I didn't get much sleep. Also a couple in the room next to mine was arguing very loud. That also kept me awake.
