Great place to stay. Clean and tidy if you don’t look too hard. Close to most things. Only thing I would suggest is the menu at the cafe could have a bit more variety and when keeping the bar open at night you serve coffee as well for those that like to have a coffee at night as the coffee is good.over all i would recommend and personally i would stay there again.

The Colonial Club is a beautiful property with lush gardens and gorgeous pools. The rooms are a little bit outdated and the bathroom in my room was in need of a good scrub. One gripe is that WiFi doesn’t really reach the guest rooms and the front desk was unable to fix it satisfactorily. When the router was reset, it would work for a few minutes then stall. There is good 5G if you have cell service but it’s annoying to not have wifi.

I have stayed here a few times over the years due to it's handy proximity to Cairns airport. Even though the property is a bit tired and in need of a lick of paint, the amazingly professional, friendly and efficient staff more than make up for that. I always feel safe there as a woman travelling alone, and the cafe is always busy with excellent drinks and food.

Great for a family holiday when looking for a budget. The rooms are 5 star but still adequate and comfortable. Plenty of pools and a slide in the main pool for the kids. The tropic landscape is a great change from the cement resorts that are around. The cafe is right at the pool with drinks available too
