Not quite sure why I paid $10 extra in room rate over my booked price with Expedia. May be staff got confused and treated my 17 year old child as adult, even though Expedia treats her as a child. I didn't have such issue in many other hotels. I didn't argue as it is only $10, but seems curious.

We enjoyed our stay at Browns Canyon Inn. The rooms were super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Don't forget to ask for housekeeping services daily. Breakfast was more than adequate with fresh fruit and fresh made oatmeal daily.

The Browns Canyon Inn is a great little hotel inside Salida. The front desk assistant, Kathy, was very cordial and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly extensive for an inn this size. My only minor disappointment was the age of the mattress. You can tell that they have seen their better days. But overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Browns Canyon Inn. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Fantastic lobby filled with amazing western art & decor. Loved the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel! Friendly staff & comfortable well furnished room. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub & incredible statures, flowers, and antiques in garden patio areas. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

The manager Kathy was the best ! Friendly and knowledgable regarding activites /restaurants in town. The whole hotel, from the lobby, to the rooms, to the sweet outside spaces, exceptionally clean and well cared for! I will stay there again.

Unique to Salida and fun! Our room door could be pushed open without a key. There was hair in our shower that wasn’t ours. The breakfast selection is premade sandwiches, danishes, yogurt, and fruit. It was fine for a one night stay.

Another great stay at Brown's Canyon Inn

Second time here, as good as the first. Exceptional. We pulled into town 15m ahead of schedule and wanted to unload car before heading out to downtown area. Only hitch, they couldn't oblige being 15m before check-inn. Understandable, room was just being finished when we came back 30m later.
