The hotel was very clean despite age and I would definitely recommend it to others. View of the water and bridge and fort were a bonus

Older style motel and furnishings, small rip in chair, but very clean. Musty smell in my room, which dissipated some when I opened the windows. Nice location, right on the river. Very thin walls, though, and you can hear all the goings on around you. Nice view from my room of the river and the bridge.

Nice location and view from room. It was definitely clean! Unfortunately, it needs updating and a bit of a facelift. Old fixtures, furniture, carpet, etc. Floors sloped. Laying in bed, our feet were higher than our head.

It's not a big room, but it's very clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent. My bigger screen TV never worked properly and although they were able to find me a much smaller screen TV immediately, they were never able to replace the larger one. The view was great, Penobscot bay and a gorgeous bridge. Set back from Main st, it was also very quiet. I enjoyed my week there very much

The view was absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing and taking in the natural beauty of the area. The location is also ideal, close to local attractions and easy to get around. While the hotel has a lot of charm, it could use a bit of remodeling to freshen things up. That said, the overall experience was very positive.
