Pet friendly accommodation in Bowery

Our room had two queen beds that were not acceptable for any human. It was like sleeping in a board on both beds. They were able to move us eventually but we had to stay in the room for two nights. Neither of us could sleep.

I had a really bad experience in the food and bar area! I bent my knees and put them on the couch, and someone told me, "Hey, you put your feet down!" Really? That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

This hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, with a trendy, photo-ready bar and lobby—there were multiple people doing photoshoots during our stay. That said, the first thing you notice is a strong perfume scent throughout the first floor. At first I thought it was other guests, but it’s actually the hotel itself. The downstairs areas look great but can feel crowded depending on how busy it is (though that may just be part of being in New York). The overall vibe leans toward a younger, party-focused crowd. Between the suggestive artwork and the club right next to the entrance, it doesn’t feel very family-friendly. The elevator system requires you to tap and select your floor before entering. It works fine once you figure it out, but it’s not intuitive—I saw multiple guests struggle with it. Our room was nice, but didn’t match what we booked. We paid for a king with a city view but got a queen with a partial view that mostly overlooked a daycare. When we asked, we were told some rooms don’t actually have a full view, so keep that in mind. Also, we found a dried contact lens on the floor, which was concerning. Overall, great aesthetic, but better suited for a younger, nightlife-oriented crowd than families or quieter travelers.

The hotel was fantastic, they let us check in really early which was very much appreciated. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and it was very nice inside and in the rooms.

Some outlets in our room didn’t work. The bathroom had no fan or window to ventilate. Necessary in such small quarters.
