A wonderful birthday for my husband

We had a wonderful time from the moment we checked in. Jan, the hostess who check us in, was so sweet and accommodating. I mentioned we came for my husbands birthday and she gifted us with two complimentary drink coupons. Jan also took the time to guide us to the new Hollydeck, and might I say it’s beautiful. We enjoyed the lovely pool and the Lazy River. As it was a Wednesday the buffet was not opened and my husband cannot eat steak so Bogartsswas out, but we had a light enjoyable meal at the Celebrity Grill. We then went to the casino to gamble fire a few hours, then back to Hollydeck for evening drinks before retiring for the night. Our room was okay but the view overlooking the water and boat slips was incredible. We will be back soon.

Not a place I would want to stay at

The room was not completely clean. I did not complain though. The wall paper in the bathroom was coming off. In the bathroom the dust was piled in the corners. Lamp shade had makeup and hair on it. The floor I don’t think was vacuumed bc there was stuff still on the floor.

Inspection needed

The room needs to be inspected to insure guest aren't finding cupcake wrappers between the night stand and bed from a previous guest. The heavy dust on the bottom of the office chair, etc.

The food was terrible for 100 + dollars. The steak was tuff as shoe soles and the fried fish looked and tasted like processed not fresh. Gumbo didn’t taste like local gumbo. Was dark spicy rue. The bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were hard as rocks and smelled of cigarette smoke. Enjoyed the pool and concert.

This property was absolutely gross. Limited parking nearby hotel and parking lot full of litter. When you walk into the property the stale cigarette smell that hits you is repulsive and follows you to your room. The rooms are sorely outdated in every way. The bathroom walls were full of mildew. The walls are paper thin. Food was gross. We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned because of the lack of satisfaction with the property. What a dump.

When we checked on, we were originally told they had overbooked and asked if we would consider a smoking room. I said, “OK”. But once we got to the room, I realized that the smell Of smoke was far worse than anticipated. No way we could sleep in that room. They were able to get us in a non-smoking room, after all, thankfully.
