When we booked our room on Expedia, the listed features included "daily housekeeping service." We booked three nights.
On the second day, after returning to our room in the evening, we were surprised to find out that no house keeping service had been performed. We went to the front desk to ask about the hotel's housekeeping service policy, she replied with an uncertain tone, "Every two days?" "But you can make a request." She added. So we did, she noted our request on a piece of paper.
The next day, when we returned, again, we found that the room had not been cleaned! We went to the front desk to ask. Another lady, the one who had checked us in two days ago when we just arrived, was on duty. We asked why our room was not cleaned despite us making an explicit request. She simply said, "Well, I don't know. I wasn't on duty yesterday. I saw no record."
Given the maximal length of 1500 characters, I will make the long story short. The short story is that this lady did offer us to change to a different room as we requested. But she LIED about (1) whether she knew who had been on duty the day before and (2) the fact that she did not tell us about the housekeeping policy when we first checked in. She even obnoxiously suggested that we could have booked a higher-end room if we expected daily housekeeping service.
In brief, our complain is that the hotel engaged in false advertising by claiming daily housekeeping service when it is not done and the staff was rude and lied.
