There is no lake view in a room that said it was lake view. It was clean. The king-size bed was beyond terrible. It was like 2 twins pushed together with a very lumpy mattress topper. No closet. Very tiny room. The hand sink was in the bedroom. The house was built in 1883, if it had been haunted it might have been worth the $250. It was neither haunted or worth the $250.
Beautiful property conveniently located to the beach and all of the dining and shopping South Haven has to offer! Rooms are small...but keep in mind that this was built in the early 1800's. Light pours in under the doors. Very quiet...we were there during off season. Paid a little over $200 for room, would not rate it a "$200" a night room. Very close to beach and other attractions. Coffee service doesn't begin until 830a...which is a bit of a drawback as Im an early morning runner and would love to have coffee closer to 7 after returning. Would be nice if guests could access kitchen to get their own coffee. Otherwise, very lovely and quaint.
Loved the setting, room was cozy. Nice little sitting area on the second floor with a bathroom,

Vastly overpriced but would be good for around $200 (we paid nearly $400). The rooms have sinks oddly placed in the bedrooms, the breakfasts are basically Jiffy Pop muffins with Walmart maple syrup, and the A/C in the rooms are loud and inefficient wall units.
However, the location was great, the staff was helpful, and the room was adequate for a short stay.
We stayed in Room 14. It’s has 3 beds. Very comfortable. Four adults parents/kids stayed here and enjoyed the room. Stairs. Nicely decorated. Very clean. Air conditioner. Heater available. Staff is AMAZING! Very nice morning breakfast. Beach towels. In a fabulous location to beach or downtown. Highly recommend staying here. Each room is unique. Check each one out and choose the one you like the best as each has different features.
Spontaneous trip, always a great experience at the Inn! Our room was definitely small but we were grateful to find a room there as this is definitely our go to place!! The tv is in an awkward spot to comfortably watch but I guess that’s not why we go to SOHO.. lol.
Thanks for another perfect stay💕
My wife and I have not stayed in a B & B in over 30 years, so we were a bit hesitant to book one. I'm not going to lie, it was a little nerve racking. But after staying at numerous hotels and motels (large and small) across the country we elected to try a B & B and were excited to experience a new/old adventure. We immediately fell in love with this place and the owners upon arrival. We met both of the owners during our stay (and in town) and they were great! The beds were comfy. The common areas were spacious and we loved the neon signage. The view of the lake from the rooms and porch offered a spectacular sunset and a great place to sip coffee and chill. We were just a short walk to the beach and to the river. Very accommodating and welcoming property and I would definitely recommend staying here if the opportunity presents itself.
This property is a GREAT location and has some incredible history. It was originally built as a boarding house back in 1880ish time frame, and has been preserved beautifully. The new owners have put a lot of work to preserving the manor, and is still a work in progress(as any 150 year old building would be), but the charm, experience, friendliness, and willingness to accommodate our needs during our stay was a 10 out of 10. I look forward to going back.
I love the homey comfortable feel of the house and the rooms. Staff was attentive and communication was prompt. Breakfast was delicious.
The beach is just across the street, lots of unique shops and restaurants a couple blocks away. We had a nice view of the lake from our room.

Some of the rooms were small, and not fundamentally functional.
The Water’s View Inn is a beautiful old Victorian home that has been converted exceptionally well into a Bed & Breakfast. Our room was spacious and really comfortable with an excellent view of the lake.
Service was remarkable and even called me to say we could check in early when ch meant I didn't have to wear my bathing suit on the 2 1/2 hr drive since restrooms closed at the beach. Always asked if he could do anything for us. Place is so comfortably and newly decorated. A few more upgrades will be done. Breakfast is a little too Gordon Foods for me though fresh fruit is available. Would like yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bagels, Bundes... Had a great view of Marina with a balcony. So relaxing, friendly, convenient to beach. Perfect get away.
