This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The views are spectacular, and the layout is perfect. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and lovely. Highly recommend!

Spacious suite with full kitchen and stacked washer/dryer (suite 100) which is located on lower level. Have to carry bags down steps or take elevator in lobby to go through breakfast area and then outside to get to room. Also means people walking by the lovely large windows. For a longer stay, the space was worth it.

This is an absolute gem of a place to stay in Bar Harbor. As it is set back up the hill the view from every room is spectacular out over the water. The rooms are clean and well presented with coffee, water & ice & laundry (super helpful!) all available 24/7. Great breakfast included. The staff were great. It is in a lovely quiet location on the edge of town away from the crowds in town but super close for dining & shopping. The Hulls Cove Park entrance into Acadia is 5 mins away with easy access to the Carriage roads as well for walking & biking. We had a car so didn't use the Island Shuttle service but we noticed it was frequently arriving or departing at the front entrance so very useful location for that. Great stay.

Extremely Disappointing Stay Would Not Recommend for Families I’m writing this review so other families, especially those traveling with children,can make an informed decision. I’ve been visiting Bar Harbor for the past four years and have always had pleasant stays at various hotels booked through Hotels.com. This was my first time booking through Expedia, and unfortunately, it turned into the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I booked a waterfront room (Room 412, 4th floor) because the view looked beautiful. That part was true but the issues started within minutes of arriving. My two kids and I immediately noticed flying insects in the room that were biting us. They were fast and difficult to catch, and we ended up spending two to three hours trying to eliminate them. After a short trip to the pool, we returned to find more bugs inside. Things only got worse. The shower lever was faulty and difficult to use, and when we finally managed to get the water on, the pressure was poor and the tub wouldn’t drain properly. We ended up standing ankle-deep in water during every shower. The most disturbing part of the stay, however, was the treatment I received from a staff member the following morning. Around 9:30 AM, while I was in the shower, she banged on our door. My 15-year-old daughter answered and politely explained that I was showering. Instead of returning later, she came back aggressively at 11:00 AM and banged on the door again opened and entered traumatizing exper

Wonderful, spacious apartments, with good beds, sitting room, and kitchen! Excellent view of the harbor. Saw a terrific sunrise! Very nice breakfast with a breakfast meat item that changed daily. Ample parking, great outdoor swimming pool. All apartments have air conditioning window units which are a little noisy if your window is open at night.

I enjoyed the location, just outside of the hustle and bustle. Plenty quiet to keep the balcony door open during the evenings and overnight. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Breakfast had everything we needed. Left our car in the parking lot and took the free ‘Island Explorer’ shuttle bus to and from town- 10 mins one way.

Place is a little dated but was always nice & clean. We had an ocean view room which gave us beautiful views of the ocean. Staff was super friendly, fresh baked cookies in the lobby were delicious! The property is close to Acadia Natl park and the down town area is walkable. Very convenient that the Island bus picks up and drops off at the property. The only complaint I have is there’s no room service, but if you need fresh towels and new trash bags you just leave the dirty ones outside your room and a replacement will show up. Overall I would recommend this place and would definitely return. 😁

Overall, the Atlantic Eyrie Lodge is a good hotel. The suite was spacious and quite clean. The full-size kitchen allowed us to bring leftovers from home thereby saving us time and money over the super busy July 4th holiday weekend. The location is just a quick 15-minute walk from Bar Harbor and the Island Explorer stops right at the front door. What surprised me is the staff. No one smiles or acknowledges you. I greeted several members and not one smiled or returned the greeting. Even the receptionist failed to greet us when we checked in. She looked at me and proceeded to give me the keys and information about breakfast. Never did she say "Welcome". All the workers come across as being very unhappy to work there. Do note - the hot breakfast is basic. Cereals are either Corn Chex or Cheerios. Hot items are scrambled egg, bacon (which alternates with sausage), French sticks and potatoes. There is also plain bagels, english muffins and blueberry muffins, coffee, tea, apple, orange and cranberry juice. I was shocked to see no hot oatmeal or even oatmeal packets.
