There were clumps of women’s hair on the walls in the shower. Absolutely no TV Guide. The front desk help acted like I was disturbing their evening when I checked in.

I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Eagle River, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is convenient—just off the highway and close to local shops and restaurants, which made exploring the Anchorage area easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities I needed. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, especially after long days of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. One area for improvement would be the breakfast selection—it was fairly minimal, and I would have liked a few more hot options. Also, while the hotel is generally well-maintained, some of the furnishings felt a bit dated. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly, no-frills place to stay near Anchorage, this Microtel is a solid choice. I’d consider staying here again for the convenience and value.
I stopped at a scenic area near the highway and got out of my car to take pictures. I noticed salmon running in the stream and decided to roll up my pant legs and shirt sleeve and enter the stream after one. This picture resulted.

The walls are paper thin. The place was dirty and smelly. It smelled outside like they might have a sewer leak. They had someone banging on the back door in the middle of the night for 15 minutes until I finally got up and called the front desk about it. I will never stay here again.

Hotel needs update, burn holes in room, room was very small, mattress was uncomfortable, not enough parking spots. Will not stay here again. Worst Wyndham property I've ever stayed in.

It was clean but The rooms are small. Not much bigger than the beds feels very stuffed there's just a small wardrobe to hang your things. There's no mini fridge or microwave. The TV was really tiny. Maybe 32 in at best. But still a clean room and enjoyable to stay if the price is right. But very minimal amenities as far as most hotels go

Ok for a place to stop for the night on a trip and sleep. Room had a musty smell, radiator was falling apart, shower leaked and had no pressure. Good breakfast.

The room was very small with no coffee maker. To be fair I did pay the least amount of money possible so that old saying “you get what you pay for” is very accurate. From the little hallway I could see that under the rim of the toilet it was black. Disgusting. There were mystery hairs in the shower after I had moved the shower curtain. Not mine! Gross! Fortunately the bed appeared clean though the sheets had black spots on them. Maybe from an ink pen? Oddly the spots were in more than one place on the sheets. I checked for bed bugs and all seemed fine. The room was hot, hard to sleep. Found a fan thankfully, which helped but still too warm to sleep comfortably. I will never stay there again! I’ll spend the extra money to stay elsewhere. I do not recommend this place either. Spend the extra money.

Good place for a nights stay

The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. No frills, but that’s okay. The breakfast could have used more choices. Some yogurt, fruit and muffins would be good.
