This is the dirtiest hotel in the area. Very unkept inside and outside the rooms. First thing you notice is the rotten fruit and stale food left out from the morning breakfast, then the walk to your room you notice how unkept the floors, walls & stairs are & you cross your fingers your room looks better than what you’ve seen so far. Upon opening up it door you notice pillows on the bed with no pillow cases, no cover on pillows & then it gets worse, medication on the floor, around the whole room not vacuumed, the microwave nasty dirty, coffee k pod machine full of sludge. No other rooms supposedly available so we left for 90 minutes to let the room be cleaned by the front desk cause nobody else works there at check in. Came back to only the microwave clean. Avoid this place!!!!

Property was quiet except for the crickets!!!! Bed was fairly comfortable but very low, toilet also very low, both could be updated The sink was plugged, pieces of food actually came out, Air conditioner also had pieces of orange come out when turned on !!! Told person at the check in desk of the issues, he said he would contact the maintenance person, never heard from him again, not handles well. Next morning we told the lady at check in of the issues and that hopefully we could expect some sort of discount for the inconvenience!!! She took all our information down and would forward it to the manager, we have yet to hear from anyone.

Bad experience, would not recommend.

The room was decent considering the remote area. However the toilet was dirty and clogged when we got there and the room had foul smell. It was hard to even sit in. Upon 3 phonecalls, a "housekeeper" showed up. I understand the delay considering it was after-hours. But upon arrival, she tried to give me the plunger, suggesting me to do it myself... which is downright horrible. That's not how any hotel should treat it's guest. Upon my refusal, she did it, but it was well over and hour after we got there. Another fellow guest said he had problems in his room too and was trying to get hold of room service to no avail. It It's probably the worst experience I've had when it comes to room service. In the morning when I complained in the office and earlier experience, the lady just said "sorry that happened"... But offered no price adjustment or partial refund. Would not recommend!!

Charming

We had a nice stay in this little charming inn. The room was small and could use some better lighting, but other than that everything was perfect. We also liked being able to walk down to the river behind the property.

Great place to stay to stage for backpacking, Rooms are big and the is a microwave for late-arrival dinners, Dog rooms are fine, just dog rooms. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

If this property was given a little TLC it would be great. The heat and air-conditioning were on at the same time throughout the night, which made it difficult to sleep. Being close to town and North Cascades was a plus for us.

The place was terrible! The room was serviced once after we complained. No fresh towels, vacuum floor, etc. Toilet seat was falling off. Breakfast area was filthy. Cereal crumbs on counters, floor, and tables. They only provided cereal, cheep bagels, waffles, orange juice, and mealy apples. Had container for raisin bran that never had anything in it. When asked they said they ran out, but fact is they never had any. On third day breakfast was not open until I called the main number after 8:45 am. The person responsible just didn’t come to work that day. Someone from the kitchen opened and contacted another property to get someone to step in. That person told me we should have stayed at their property because it was much better. You might expect to pay less than $100 per night, but not here! The first night (Thursday)_ was $169. The next 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) were $249.00 per night. Yes, Winthrop is a popular tourist destination and there was a music festival on the weekend, but this sure seems like price gouging to me! To top it off, the front desk person on Monday when we left was totally unprofessional insisting that none of it was her fault and I would have to contact the manager. She did not provide any contact info. We have visited Winthrop many times over the years. It is a great place with many things to see and do, good food, and fun activities. This business does not represent what Winthrop is. NEVER STAY AT THE WINTHROP INN!!
