Room old, 5” hole in carpet, ugly bottom mattress visible , yucky old, curtains on broken screen door filthy, towels like theirs are in our rag basket. Walked away after first nite.forfeited one nite. Felt dirty after bedding there, could not sleep, didn’t even use shower just wanted to leave that place behind. Oh and the door “safety “ chain screws ready to fall out!

The place itself was fine. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but some stuff need to be replaced, for example the bathroom door. The place is fine for a quick place to sleep while you visit the national park, however the people that work at the front desk are extremely unprofessional. I walked in, person behind the desk had a vape and you could smell that they were vaping. Wasn’t even greeted and barely any eye contact. Came in well past 3 and was informed that my room was not ready and that was it. No further explanation or information. I had to ask about when they thought it would be ready and the just said they didn’t know again no further information was provided. Room was ready an hour and a half after check in time.

This is a rustic place to stay, yet exceptionally clean. It was walkable to the local grocery store and gas station.

Key left in lobby. No access to ice or other amenities. There were outdoor chairs, but no cushions so it wasn’t really comfortable to lounge. Room desperately needs a coat of stain and varnish on the dated wakes and counter. Killed two giant spiders in the tub/shower. The online photos are nut representative of the overall shabbiness of the property. There appeared to be a pool table and other amenities in the main building, but it was closed when I arrived and closed when I left.

There might be a niche for this western style place, Hyatt, Marriott this is not. Those places do not exist In Winthrop. Resort is older, run down, tv in room is small. Resort is not my style…. Just know what you’re getting , there was a wedding there the day we left. There is definitely a niche for it!

they called me and and said they needed to move me to a different room, I said no problem, but the tv and fridge did not work. They gave me a small refund. I'm not sure why they needed to move me. the second night was in the 2nd floor room as promised, it was nice. you will hear every cough, tv, etc. but for the price i guess it's ok

We very much enjoyed our river view room. Rustic wood vibe. Patio overlooking the river. Quiet and peaceful. And friendly helpful staff. Will stay there again if we go back to Winthrop.
