This architectural gem is within walking distance of the Cape Fear riverfront and within a block of popular event venues, including The Atrium, Bakery 105, and St. Thomas Preservation Hall, award-winning restaurants, music venues, water tours, charming horse-drawn carriage tours, Historic Foundation, Historical Society, and Community Arts Center.

As you enter this marvelous home away from home, you will be greeted by rift-sawn heart pine floors, an impressionable staircase, and 12-foot ceilings displaying art. Discover a spacious great room that can be separated into two separate living areas both furnished with gorgeous sofas and chairs, carved marble fireplaces (decorative only nowadays), and numerous entertaining books. Spend endless hours chatting, planning your next adventures, and creating everlasting memories. The kitchen has been restored with luxury cooking appliances, which are hidden behind panels. The refrigerator is in the scullery kitchen and beside it is one of the two Bosch dishwashers. The small oven is a Thermador speed oven. There is a Fulgor Milano undercabinet drawer that can be an additional frig, freezer, or wine cooler. There are two microwaves (one countertop and one drawer style). There is a Fulgor Milano gas range top, two kitchen sinks, and a coffee bar with an Espresso machine, coffee makers, toaster, and blender. The scullery kitchen can be closed off from the breakfast kitchen, if needed, and includes a rear entrance that can be accessed separately for catering. The home also boasts a covered front porch with stately columns fronting South 2nd Street, where you can dine alfresco, a back porch with breakfast seating, a side yard with hedges and a fountain, and a backyard for lawn games. A modern half-bath powder room is located on the first floor.

Upstairs, you will discover three gorgeous bedrooms, a laundry room with a washer/dryer, two modern bathrooms, several conversation areas, and a rear balcony with a bench swing.
