Cute apartment in central location

Lovely little apartment very close to the Rialto bridge. Peaceful and comfortable, the window/rooflights look out over the local rooftops. Although very central, it felt like a welcome oasis amongst the bustle of the tourists. The apartment had everything we needed for our short stay and was nicely furnished in the Venetian style. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for the two of us. You can see that the beams are very low in a lot of the apartment, but we just moved carefully. My husband is 6'4, but he managed. It's worth noting that the steps to the apartment from the street are extremely steep, and in places have no handrail, but again, it didn't bother us. We had a great stay.

Lovely apartment, close to everything

Francesco's place is very welcoming and cozy, and very well located. I loved the various lights and lamps throughout the apartment as well!

Perfect for us

My daughter and I stayed for a week in this lovely apartment in the heart of Venice. It had everything we needed and was close to everything . Francisco was so good to meet us and carry our luggage etc. The price was very reasonable If you have trouble with stairs this place is not for you because there are many stairs to climb to get up to the apartment . We enjoyed the stairs and it gave us good exercise . We loved everything about Venice .

'Authentic' Location

The location of this apartment is perfect. It is in the alley outside a busy area near the Rialto bridge but when inside the apartment it is quiet and peaceful.

Central location but quiet

The apartment was exactly what we wanted. A couple of minutes from Rialto bridge but very quiet. There are a few steps up but it is on the top floor so expected. Francesco was accommodating and communicated with us quickly and efficiently. The place is ideal for a couple staying a few days in beautiful Venice. Recommended.

Nice but no views

Nice property but no views at all, washing machine didn't work and we had been away for two weeks already and was looking forward to getting some washing done, 71 steps was a bit much to do every day especially when you had been out all day.

Venice center apt

My wife and I stayed three nights and we could not be more satisfied. Francesco was very responsive and helpful. The apt works well for seeing all of Venice just a 2 minute short walk to the Rialto bridge and the vaporetto yet on a side street that is very quiet. One thing to note this apt is on the fourth floor so there are lots of stairs.

Perfect location to stay in Venice

From booking the property from the outset the owner has been fantastic and been in communication regarding our visit. He met us on time on our arrival and was very accommodating. The apartment is fantastically located in the San Polo area which is a great place to explore Venice in the day and plenty of restaurants within walking distance in the evening. We will definitely stay again and also recommend this apartment to friends and family.

PERFECT Location!

To start it was very helpful to have Francesco meet us at the water taxi stop and show us to the apartment and offer a few recommendations around the area. As other reviews have stated there is quiet a hike up the stairs to the apartment, so as long as you are comfortable with that you will enjoy the apartment. We liked how it was so centrally located and with all we walked we could get back to the apartment easy.

Great place to stay when visiting Venice!

Top notch place to stay in Venice! The apartment was very well appointed - everything you need is there. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The apartment’s location was outstanding- right by the Rialto bridge. Francesco was very helpful in making our stay wonderful. He assisted us with getting a large and heavy piece of luggage up to the apartment. Many reviews mentioned the stairs but if you are in decent shape they are not an issue. Francesco gave us great advice on the city and getting back to the airport. We would definitely recommend this apartment and will hopefully be able to return soon.

Central location

Francesco's apartment is so centrally located. Easy walk to the mercato (outdoor market), great bakeries, cafes, good restaurants, vaporetto, San Marco square, and a half block from the Grand Canal. It was so much fun staying at this apartment and exploring the city. One trick to climbing the long set of stairs: don't look up. By the end of the visit, I felt in great shape. His apartment has everything one could want, including murano glass pieces. I felt truly Venetian staying there and very comfortable. Thank you for a great visit.

Great location!

We are two elder travelers that we’re looking for a reasonable apt., near the Rialto bridge as that is the center of Venice....this met our needs perfectly!...Francesco met us at the vaparetto stop and he even carried our luggage up the stairs!...he than provided an overview of the area, provided restaurant recommendations and highlighted locations on the map we had planned to go...not fancy, basic comfort and the steps did keep us in shape!...we enjoyed our stay!...peace...Bka and tka from Minnesota

The location is great. Very spacious and clean room. The steps did not border me. The owner Francesco is always reply email timely manner, which was good. The only thing was that the washing machine was not functioning, I had to pay €30 to wash my clothes, hope it will be fixed during slow season. Otherwise, it was wonderful stay.i will definitely stay this place when I have a chance to go back beautiful Venetzia. Thank you!

Compact and bijou

Nice sized bedroom with good storage. The kitchen/diner/loving room is small but light and airy with the windows/air con. We only made breakfast there. Despite it being well equipped with cookware I think it might be difficult to cook a meal with the space but the apartment is close to lots of eateries. Quiet location and with the maze that Venice can be, good to be near the landmark of Rialto bridge. Helpful to be met from the catamaran by Francesco.

The property had everything we needed

The apartment was at the top of the building away from the hustle of the city, yet close to the Rialto Bridge, the vaporetto stops, the market and the Grande Canal. So it was perfect for us. There were around 60 steps up to the apartment, which were a great way for us to keep fit, but may not suit everyone. The owner was kind and helpful.

The apartment was well located, a five minute walk to the vaporetto stop. Near Rialto and close to many valuable sites, it was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The only difficulty consisted of the 79 steps one had to climb to get to the apartment. But that was unavoidable given the absence of an elevator and its location on the top floor.

We really enjoyed staying here. Very close to the Rialto bridge and many sights. Large comfortable bed. Quiet neighborhood. Cozy little appartment. It is on the 4th floor so we got our exercise:). It is just a few minutes from San Marco too. Close to the Varparetto bus line. Good restaurants near by. Francesco the owner is very nice and met us at the Rialto bus stop and showed us to the appartment. We would stay here again.

Sehr schöne, zentrale, sehr ruhige Dachwohnung

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter per WhatsApps und per Telefon war ganz unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Alle nötigen Informationen lagen in einem Ordner vor. Schade, dass die Gaszuleitung zu den beiden Gasbrennern nicht funktionierte. Dadurch standen nur 2 Elektrokochplatten zur Verfügung. Wir kochen sehr gern, und der nahe gelegene Rialto Markt hat ein verführerisches Angebot. Wir sind natürlich trotzdem auf unsere Kosten gekommen. - Ein kleines Problem mit dem Öffnen der Wohnungstür ließ sich lösen und ist behoben. - Sehr gut geeignet für 2 Personen, denen 72 Treppenstufen nichts ausmachen und die mit Dachschrägen umgehen können.

A very nice apartment in the centre of Venice

We have spent already three times pentecost in this apartment in order to take part in the Vogalonga. It is perfect for two persons, the equipment is adequate and fully sufficient for a short stay. It is situated near the Rialto bridge and ideal for excursions into the centre of Venice and to the surrounding islands in the laguna. The contact with the owner has been always without any problems!
