Book Hostelling International Santa Monica accommodation from AU$212

I have to start out by saying I stayed at this location when it was the (Renaissance hotel) in 2003 and 2004 it was very nice then and the restaurant was on one of the upper floors and while dining you had a nice view of the Hollywood sign. With that being said , I was some what disappointed that the loews hotel moved the restaurant to the first floor with no direct view to this iconic view of the Hollywood sign. On our visit we asked to be moved from our first room because the first room was not very nice. We were then placed in a nice room with a city view, that had a nice clean spacious view! The bed was very comfortable and so was the bathroom. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the shower was nice and invigorating. The drinks and food in the restaurant including the breakfast was great! The location is a (A+) to Local attractions,shopping and restaurants. The only thing I would like to see at this hotel is a upgrade in style overall like lighter colors in the rooms earth tones /neutral colors and no displays of worn furniture or puckered carpet in the hallways . Overall our stay was great and I would return again and again! Grade! (9/10

The room was so clean. I booked handicap room that the toilet and shower area was flat. When I showered the whole floor got wet. I meant very wet and super slippery. So please be careful to not to trip.

Clean comfortable quiet room.

Coffee machine did not work. TV did not work. The toilet had no lock. I paid for non functional room. I feel cheated.

Nice hotel to stay would come back again had no issue

Definitely a great location rooms are small and outdated but overall not bad for a one night stay.
