The property was nice,the staff was kind and helpful. I did order water bottles to my room and they never showed up. We had an issue wirh the tv and again no one showed up. Kendal from the entertainment team was lovely, so energetic and fun, all the bar tenders were lovely. . At check in they were not clear on restaurant bookings or the privledge pkg, and were juat told to download the app. When we booked on expedia it indicated thst we had vip access but they said that we were not, we were not given an option for the privilege pass either.

The property was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights of our visit was the Japanese restaurant—it was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh and delicious.

We had a Fabulous time at Ocean Maya Royale! We stayed here 4 nights to celebrate my birthday and also to rest and relax. Ocean Maya Royale exceeded our expectations! They also were very thoughtful and left a cake and a birthday card as a surprise! We'll certainly be back!

This hotel is definitely one we would could come back to! Absolutely loved the staff! Shout out to the Blue Team! Viri, Kenneddel, and Dali, they were so personable and always had a smile on their face! All the staff is great, great food, and plenty of activities! Great to be able to use the hobie!

I had a lovely stay at Ocean Maya Royale All Inclusive Adults Only. The staff were friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. The resort felt safe and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing by the beach. My only wish is that the music and entertainment had a stronger Mexican vibe—more Latin tunes would have added a great cultural touch.

This the first time at an adults only resort. We upgraded to Privilege and would highly recommend, we never had a problem finding a chair in the privilege area pool or ocean at any time of day. You get a butler to reserve your dinners or other activities. Resort is quiet if you wanted but did have a pool with activities and shows at night in the main building. Beach was nice and went on for miles for walks. The resort is kind of dated but the rooms were clean and well stocked. The food was hit or miss like most resorts and for brief parts of the day very little options. Very disappointed at the hibachi restaurant other resorts this was always the best dinner. Most likely not going back.

The service was outstanding overall. The activities staff went above and beyond. The bartenders always aimed to please. The spa was a wonderful treat. We greatly enjoyed the different food, drink, and entertainment options. - The process for getting dinner reservations at the special restaurants was inconsistent and poorly communicated. We missed having a hot tub in the pool area. Not handicapped accessible-lots of steps, and a good amount of walking for a handicapped person. We had wonderful, personal service at all of the restaurants except the Mexican one. We had 2 lunches and a dinner there, and the service was slow. Tipping-the whole thing is unclear-publishing some guidelines for when to tip, how much is appropriate/expected would be so helpful for guests.

This is the 10-11 time at Ocean Maya. There is always 3-6 couples that travel together. The VIP upgrade is a joke. We requested certain locations far in advance. All requested king beds, 2 of the couples had 2 double beds and were not allowed to change rooms. I personally talked to the manager and pointed out the VIP status and how many times and people we bring and it didn’t matter. Also, no Expedia rep on site. We will be looking at a different resort for our spring trip.

Wifes Review AVOID ANYONE in the lobby who offers you something to "just go to breakfast" Its a timeshare & 4hrs of your day. Dont really see 5 star but it was still nice. Small,much older crowd.The pool/"main"area is kinda far from everything depending on where your room is. Shower was hot the 1st day, 2nd day a bit cooler but still ok. Rest of the week the water was luke warm at best & usually cooler, youd have to wait for the next wave of luke warm to be able to finish. Beach didnt have enough seating but you can actually swim in the water! Buffet - Many days the food was really oily/greasy so many things were left uneaten, and my husband will eat anything lol We didnt get a chance to try the Mex, Japanese or Mikes Cafe. Italian - Very Good! Servings small. Youll have a very cute dinner guest and you better pay the tax for dining with him😅 Blue Moon(French) Small servings but Absolutely delicious Sports Bar had a great menu posted but always say they only had burgers, nachos & Hotdogs. Night Service - Just Dont. Entertainment! KENDALL (Ken) is EVERYTHING! When we saw him we KNEW the whole pool was in for a great time. Endless energy and includes everyone.His intro is the best,most effort & most fun.They are all nice but Ken stands out! People in the pool who hadnt engaged all day even pipe up when he shows up.If there were 2 reasons only that we'd return,Ken would be #1. Herbert AKA Tiger at the bar in the lobby was an absolute legend. He's the 2nd reason we would return!

We stayed at OMR for a week in January and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and fresh, the beaches were clean, the drinks were professionally crafted, and the entertainment was top-notch (their acrobats were amazing!). Each day and night there was something new to keep us truly entertained. Above all, the staff stood out with their uplifting energy and kindness. Special shoutout goes to Carlos for being so attentive and bringing life to the party, as well as Alex and Viridiana for their amazing energy. Lastly, their singer Paula is extremely talented and if you get a chance to listen to her, it will be one of the highlights of your stay. While this hotel is great, it was by no means perfect and there were some hitches in the road, but the staff worked promptly to make our stay as memorable as possible.
