Never disappoints

Always enjoy staying at Welcominns! Breakfast is great. Parking is ample and easy. We didn't have a renovated room, but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There's a comfy loveseat and a table with chairs also. Good size fridge with room for 4 freezer packs which was handy as we were on a road trip. Great location for shopping and getting around the city. And always an excellent price for value.

The best valued hotel in Ottawa.

Surprisingly clean and modern for an old hotel. Recent renovations make the hotel competitive to newer, recently constructed hotels. The price, however, make this hotel a much better value when compared to the prices of these newer hotels. And with free breakfast! The price-value ratio cannot be beat, especially for an expensive market like Ottawa. The location, although not downtown, is within a 10-minute drive of all the sites. For those who do not want to drive, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the St. Laurent transit station which includes light rail service downtown.

The hotel was clean with comfortable beds and working air conditioning. Free parking, complimentary breakfast, free wifi and quiet. We chose his hotel because of the location which was very convenient to where we needed to be in Ottawa. The front desk staff were very friendly, polite and accommodating. We were travelling for bereavement. When the front desk staff became aware of the reason for our travel they were very sympathetic. There is a lot of ongoing construction in the area during the day but that closes down in the evenings.

Bien, mais pas éco-friendly

Ce n’est pas éco-friendly. Que des emballages individuels. Au déjeuner, assiettes en carton et ustensiles en bois. Toutefois, aucun bac dédié au compostage. D’ailleurs, bien qu’il y ait un tri à 3 bacs (déchets, plastiques et papier), les étiquettes étaient inversées sur les bacs, et les consignes non claires. Au final, les 3 bacs dont utilisés comme poubelle…

I was told the deposit was $50 but when I checked in it was $150. The deposit was almost the sanw amount as the room. This is not typical for one night stay to pay such a huge deposit. Was not happy with being misinformed!
