The property is pretty dated, but by the same time pretty well maintained. You wont mistake it for a modern facility but its not falling down around you.
Its also basic. No pool or spa or restaurant, but if thats what you need then you have to pay more than the budget price YEHS charges. Its basic, but you get what you pay for.
Great shower, nice big room (going by the one I was in anyway). Staff were friendly but not intrusive. Location is absolutely perfect.
Great option when all you need is a quiet place to rest your head at night.
The room was very small, barely bigger than the double bed, and tired. It really needs a coat of paint, new carpet and a solid clean. It served the purpose of somewhere to sleep, but it is average at best.
All the Staff were lovely, but the hotel was very old and tired, in the lift the panel for the floors was taped together, in the room the two chairs were grubby, the carpet stained in the bathroom the walls around the bathtub with the shower the grouting was black with mould and the same with the shower screen. A GOOD clean would not go amiss
Read the Reviews!!! I didn’t until after my stay and had all the same issues as others. The room was not clean there was rubbish under the beds, no top sheet and mattress protectors were stained. Hole in the ceiling. Beds are on wheels that don’t lock so roll around as you sit and lay on them as the room is not carpeted. The rubbish bins were not cleaned just a new bag put in over top of the yuck. You have to be a contortionist to use the toilet paper that is positioned on the same wall as the toilet. Key cards are inserted and half the time didn’t work especially in the elevator. If you need to leave your luggage in a holding area you run the risk of it being stolen as it’s not staffed you put it in and take it out yourself along will all the other ppl staying there. $100 bond has not been returned after 1 week of stay I’ve emailed with no response as yet. However the staff were all friendly and we had no trouble with them and the location of the hotel was fabulous with Spencer st station just up the road and lots of eateries around. Will not stay here again but will definitely look for places around this area again.
Really great location, only a few minute walk to the Skybus and Spencer St. Room was very basic but clean and tidy. Had a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Full length mirror on back of the door. Only downside was the curtain in my room didn’t block light out very well. Price was good for a short stay. I would reccomend.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The biggest advantage is location: one block to Skybus which is also right in Spencer Outlet Center. Southern Cross station is next to the outlet. A self laundry service is located in the adjacent building.
The property is quite outdated more like a motel. No ice dispenser. Not much service but there is an automatic coffee machine at reception.

Liked: Amenities
Lights were not bright enough. Overhead light on single bed not working , asked for it to be fixed. Promised to be fixed by manager, however was not fixed.
This was incredibly disappointing. The only redeeming quality is location. The room was outdated, the bathroom shower had mold and overall had a bad odor. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Disgusting.
Location allowed easy access to tram and skybus services.
Walkable to all CBD areas.
Budget hotel whish I would highly recommend.

This is an excellent choice for the traveller who values budget options. Only a couple of hundred metres walk from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne with access to all trains and Airport Skybus. Great cafes and dining options in same street. Hotel is secure with card access needed for lifts and rooms. Room was of ample size, bed is comfortable with good pillows supplied. Room was clean and shower very hot. Need to able to climb up over edge of bath into shower with handrail in place. Building is old and furniture dated but OK with this.
Staff were very friendly but that is as far as the positives go. Bathroom was very dirty upon arrival, like it hadn’t even been cleaned, there was still toothpaste in the sink and the shower was very dirty. The bed didn’t have a top sheet and under the main sheet was a massive brown stain on the bed which was very off putting. No overhead light in the room and there were only three wall lights, two of which were not working, which led us to spend the night in nearly complete darkness. Very disappointing, will not stay here again, worth paying the small extra to go to a nicer hotel.

Great location for Southern Cross station, but probably a bit close to Spencer St end of town. The other side of Queen is probably a better location for shoppig /dining/nightlife. But great value, even though its a bit gritty. Staff were friendly. Lofts didnt work one day I was there for the morning, but were fixed by the afternoon. Take advantage of the parking deal.
