Needed an extra night in Melbourne because of flight bookings and found a cheap room close to the SkyBus and trams. Slept soundly and enjoyed the convenience of the lounge and luggage holding service. The building is old and eccentric but I like that.

The hotel has a terrible swampy smell all through the corridors. The room had a slight smell and the sheets had a coffee cup stain on them. The glasses were also questionable in regards to cleanliness. The staff were lovely and they let me utilize the guest lounge/bathroom to get ready as my room wasn't available for early check in.

The hotel is dated. There are currently renovations going on, which will hopefully bring the hotel up to date. The room was a bit dirty, but was fine for 1 night. The location is great and very easy to get around Melbourne from here.
