Worst Hotel I've Ever Stayed In

When I walked into the lobby I got hit with a hideous smell. Got my key to go to my room on the 2nd floor. The check-in gal told me I could use the dolly which was nice. Only problem was the dolly does not fit in the tiny elevator. Got off elevator, carpet looked like a CSI crime scene. Opened the door to my room & almost vomited from the smell. A NEW bad smell, much different & much worse than the lobby. It smelled like men's really cheap cologne. It was unbearable but I was running out to dinner and leaving early in the A.M. so I figured I'd deal with it and I told myself I would get used to it. I was wrong. The room itself is super tiny. Drapes looked like they were as old as the hotel. Broken & ripped. Lots of black mold in corners of tiny bathroom. Counter was filthy with unknown drips & stains. Sink was cracked like a spider web. 3 good items were a little fridge, cold window A/C, and friendly little bar when I returned from dinner. Yes it is inexpensive compared to most neighboring hotels, but they could absolutely do a lot better. I left hours ago and still can't get that bad cologne smell out of my nose!! :/ Worst hotel I ever stayed in.

They’re remodeling November 2025 so maybe that’s why the place smelled so bad. They really weren’t in to the present. Like why bother? Maybe that’s why the purchase was non-refundable because we would have immediately turned around and walked out. Loved the staff though. They were excellent

My shower overflowed with poop. I woke up at 4 am with flood of sewer in my bathroom. Was changed 2 times to room that were all dirty and I’m used conditions. Hotel staff was amazing. Hotel was good but stability of hotel was not acceptable.

The hotel had a historic feeling. Parking was easy but expensive. Nice location. I didn't like the mirror wall behind the bed, the bathroom is extremely small the door kept hitting the toilet . and there's a real musty smell to the inside of the property. The lounge chairs are dirty and dingy looking

Disappointed, not as nice as the photos

This hotel is changing ownership so it was not in top shape, paint was pealing, the hallway rug stained, a towel with a rip. The price and location were great, the bed was comfortable. The parking was an extra $45 a night, which was unfortunate and I don’t recall seeing prior to booking. Street parking isn’t possible due to parking laws in the neighborhood. The overnight staff wasn’t very warm and professional. The neighboring sister hotel offered free coffee and was so much nicer. Recommend Mosaic Hotel over this place. Had high hopes from the photos, but they were misleading.

The place was not maintained well at all. It’s in a great location and had cute room decor, but there was so much work needed. There is a terrible smell when you enter the hotel, the lobby desk paint is chipped and it felt sticky, the hall carpets are stained and bunched from age, the room carpet was shredded and torn at the bathroom entrance, the shower head could not spray all of the water since most was pouring out of the tub faucet because it was so old (like 50 years) - there was no coffee available in the hotel- I was told to go down the street to their sister property got the gym and coffee.

Please do not waste your money staying at this hotel. My husband and I checked in, went up to the room, and immediately came back down to check out. The hotel is extremely old and has a strong, unpleasant odor — it smelled like urine. The carpets were filthy, stained, and gave the room an overall dirty feel. When we asked for a refund, we were told it was not possible and they still charged my card for one night. Completely unacceptable. DO NOT stay at this hotel or Stay at your own Risk. The pictures on the website doesn’t depict the appearance nor the smell.
