This would have been a 5 star stay except for a maintenance issue that remained unresolved for the duration of our stay. The apartment is in an excellent location just steps from wonderful restaurants and shops, the bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the check in/check out process was easy. Good communication with the host.

This was a beautiful place, just as described. The host had given me good instructions however due to the multiple ways of communication the host used. I could not find those instructions on how to get in when I needed it. I would recommend that the host use only one way of communication so that there’s not confusion.

The location was great. Close to everything. Balcony was nice to have. Apartment was clean and had lots of room.Negative was the lack of amenities provided for the kitchen. Noticed this had been pointed out in previous reviews, so a bit disappointing to see that the issue had not been addressed.Should also note you turn right when exiting the elevator to access the apartment door, not left as indicated in the check in instructions. Turn left if coming up the stairs.This caused some confusion at checkin. Guest Ready was helpful in addressing the confusion for us quickly however.

Great Location but Several Issues

Fantastic Location! The furnishings are old and the apartment for the most part is modern and clean. There is no owner looking out for you, they have contracted with GuestReady who have people to say ‘No’ in the nicest of ways if you receive a response at all. We are here for 13 days and have 2 rolls of toilet paper, no soap for hand washing, and 1 inch of dish soap. They give you a gift package of spreads and wine which I would gladly exchange for soap and toilet paper. They are lots of stemmed glasses but not normal glasses for juice and to hold your toothbrush. The big issue is the flooding when it rains around the windows in the front of the apartment. We had to get pans out to collect the water and because that was no one source it goes all over the floor. You can see this has happened many times before based on the damage to the walls and flooring. Water also comes through the ceiling of the bathroom into the tub which I noted the same issue in a review 6 months ago. The hot and cold-water faucets fall from the wall in the same bathroom causing you to pinch your fingers if you don’t hold them just right. One of the outlets in the kitchen has screws coming out of it so needs repair. This is a 5-story building with 2 apartments on each floor, we are on the 4th floor. There is quite a bit of noise [footsteps] from the apartment above. We have stayed in many Vrbo’s and this is the least attentive to a traveler’s needs.

Comfortable, convenient, pretty

Aurea Art served as a good homebase for my husband, me, and another couple during our four days in Lisbon. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the website photos are an accurate representation. The location is central Baixa, near shopping, restaurants, the fabulous The Folks coffeeshop/restaurant and walkable to popular Alfama, the Time Out market and many other destinations. We caught a Yellow Bus on/off tour a short distance away to go to Belem. The apartment is exceptionally quiet for such a busy city, has excellent a/c and showers, and very comfortable mattresses — all very important to us. A couple of negatives — Guest Ready, who manages the property, did not respond to emails in a timely fashion prior to our arrival and provided confusing directions to access the unit. After some finagling around, we gained access and began our Lisbon holiday. In spite of this initial confusion, we enjoyed our stay and felt the apartment was a good value.

A great Option in Lisboa

The apartment was a wonderful choice for a few days in Lisbon. Centrally located, beautifully decorated and furnished. The host was very responsive, quickly responded to emails or texts and made check in and out easy. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Impeccable Apartment and Perfect Location

Everything about this stay was 5 Star, we cannot thank the hosts enough for making available such a lovely apartment, with full amenities, in such a grand location in the heart of Lisbon. Great stay!

This is a great apartment for two couples! Good location, cozy, and clean. A few more towels would have been great, but other than that, our stay was great! There are quite a few hoops to jump through prior to our stay, but check-in and check-out were both pretty easy.

Perfection!

This flat was AMAZING. Everything about it was perfect. The location is centrally located and gave us easy access to everything we wanted to do. The view from the balcony is beautiful. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed to make our first visit to Lisbon great.
