We loved to tiki bar that overlooked the ocean. It was a great place for food and drinks. Our room was very spacious and the staff was very attentive. The concierge provided excellent help on assisting us with getting a car rental and a map of the area. I highly recommend The Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay, HI .

Beautiful property against the state beach. Staff was very nice and rooms were spacious and clean. There are 2 pools and both are a bit small. The elevators are also small and quite dated. The carpet in the hallways is also dated. The tiki bar food and staff was great. Our room faced a maintenance area that could be cleaner looking lol. I would return.

In short : avoid this place. Why? Read below: - be prepared for almost everything to be priced in : a 25$ per night resort fee, a 25$ per night parking fee. - you have plenty of cockroaches as room mates, especially ones that are breeding - things are rusted (bathroom fittings) and broken (bath hooks) - the carpets are terribly unclean and stained. - it appears staff are usually used to endless complaints and have switched off. At checkout I wasn’t asked if I enjoyed my stay. When I prompted the lady saying there were cockroaches in my room, she shrugged and said she has plenty at her place. - I could sense a deep resentment on the faces of the staff - I assume there are being overworked and underpaid. There is a lack of togetherness and hospitality in general. The only positive thing is the access to the beach. But there are plenty of other hotels that give this to you. Go there.

Nice place by the water.

My only complaint is that the latches on the doors are tight enough that when leaving the room one needs to pull the door closed so hard that it makes a lot of noise. In the morning and at night it sounds like everyone is slamming their doors.

Very nice, clean, stylish and updated rooms with multiple charging options. Unfortunately, the streaming services were not functioning so I couldn’t log into Netflix but who comes to Hawaii to watch TV anyway?!? The hotel itself is very nicely manicured and the food was great!!

The rust bucket

My wife and I have named this place the rust bucket. The room was dirty and smelt like Mold. I can't believe the lamps in the room were rusty.

This hotel needs some TLC!

Spent one night as our flight landed later in the evening, and we wanted to hit up Costco the next morning before driving to our VRBO. Not enough parking as we had to park in lower lot and haul our luggage up the hill to the lobby around midnight so not a great start to our stay. Front desk staff were reasonably friendly so that was alright. Room comfortable but very dusty though! I was sneezing like a machine gun as I’m very allergic to dust! Hallway carpets were very dirty and need of some serious shampooing and vacuuming! Overall not a terrible place to stay but just seemed very tired and unkept.
