No go stay away

A terrible check in experience largely due to the a lady called Tori I believe claiming to be the “Manager” who was rude, unhelpful and played the victim when asked why our parking space was not available! We were forced to park 3 blocks away in unsecured public parking despite her assuring us she would provide parking on the premises the very next day. She was no where to be found after the first day. A complete lie of course. We were forced to change rooms as the AC did not work with no help with our luggage only to be given a single key for 2 people to use. AC in the new room was fixed at 16 but felt like 20 deg. The bed was made, not changed, but no other cleaning took place while we were out of the room. Bathroom is from the 1960’s with a shower forced into the bath and clearly designed with midgets in mind. Even the body wash stunk like body odour. The outside bar closed at 8 pm so no opportunity for food or evening drinks anywhere else on property. The so called swimming pool is actually a plunge pool at best with room for about 3 midgets. In short this place is a “no go stay away” hotel and to be avoided at all costs. Hotel rooms clearly out number parking spaces so be sure to cycle or take public transport to the hotel. Tori needs to be relieved of her duties immediately before things get completely out of hand!

Great hotel location and walking distance to Cavill Ave. The staff were all very lovely and accommodating, we appreciated being able to borrow an umbrella with the heavy rain we had during out stay. Super comfy and clean bedding! Parking is limited so glad that we prebooked. Had some issues getting the hot water to work as the shower taps were around the wrong way (Room 1208). Overall, very happy with stay considering the price (motels were asking for the same amount).

Room wasnt very clean, mould in the shower and dust/feathers on the luggage rack. Restaurant closed at 8pm the first night, then 730pm the second night, so was quite inconvenient for hotel food service. Beds were very comfortable though and view is beautiful from the rooms.

The bathroom rooms were not clean the soap dispensers looked like it had never been cleaned and the shower leaks. The vanity was falling apart just needs a total remodel. I was stuck in Gold Coast for hours until 11pm as I was scammed with a hotel after driving from Newcastle, I was lucky to find a room here and was happy with everything. I was just excited for a bed.
