Great hotel, unfortunate maintenance timing.

Nice hotel. Nothing wrong with our stay except the pool and sauna facilities being unavailable. Which we found out at check oit the next morning. If id known in advance these facilities wouldnt be available i would of booked sonewhere else as i was really really looking forward to having a couple hours relaxing before the journey home. I overhead a couple in the lift who where offered a free breakfast as way of apology. I was told sorry. A lttle compensation would of been nice too. But it is a nice hotel and everything else was great. I would defo stay again but i would check to make sure all the facilities that i paid for will be available on the dates!!

Love coming back to the Crowne Plaza, so handy for shows in the Hydro and can always arrive relaxed after a swim and a sauna. Breakfast was lovely and as always, staff throughout the hotel were polite and welcoming.

Lovely hotel. Very good staff, excellent breakfast and a nice location on the riverside. Be aware it is a fair distance from the city centre and a taxi in will set you back about £15.

The reception staff were outstanding. Mohamed was a breath of fresh air. So polite and chatting with our kids. I honestly believe after chatting to an online member telling her the reason of our stay we got a nice treat and we can honestly not thank everyone enough. Breakfast was superb. Unfortunately we had a small issue. The pool was nice but the changing rooms were appealing. Used towels everywhere, cleanliness was not great, half eaten apple left on floor. I understand guests should take there towel out but I do not think it would take much for the staff to have a walk through every so often to check and give quick clean. Sorry this sounds bad but for the Crowne plaza you don’t expect that. Everything else was superb

I recently stayed at your hotel while attending the C2C festival. Unfortunately, I encountered a few issues that impacted my stay. The lift situation was a significant problem, particularly during peak periods. At times, only one lift was operational! I strongly recommend ensuring all three lifts are functioning for future busy weekends. Additionally, I had lounge access, but unfortunately, the opening times for drinks and canapés did not align with the festival schedule. Many guests, including myself, were attending the C2C festival, and adjusting the lounge opening times to accommodate the event schedule would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Lifts broken so had to wait for ages getting down 9 floors. At one point several of us wondered if we’d make breakfast it took so long. Breakfast queue was pretty poor. Stayed at the Moxy and Marriott (twice) previously so think I’ll be heading back to one of these next year.

Nice hotel shame about the lifts

Pro points .Lovely hotel close to Hydro. 3 night stay for C2C. Staff helpfully and efficient. Very clean. Ample food for breakfast which was replenished regularly by staff. Cons. Very long wait for check in on the Friday, although wine was offered to those waiting, some systems seemed to be down as well as volume of guests??. Lifts were out of order sometimes only one of 3 lifts working, for a hotel with 16 floors that is very poor service and one lift was never working. We were directed to use the service lifts but even these were poor. This meant there was always a queue for the lift and it was difficult to call a lift to go down. We were on the 9th floor so walked down the stairs everytime but liked to get a lift up.This has put me off booking here again. Please advise when this will be resolved

Clean hotel, uncomfortable beds and broken lifts

Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean but the beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were hard. We paid a lot of money for our stay and breakfast wasnt even included. At £18 each for a pretty average buffet, I wasnt impressed. The biggest problem overall was the lifts. 2 out of 3 werent working and with the hotel at capacity, the wait was terrible. I didnt appreciate having to walk up 16 flights of stairs each night. This is clearly a long running problem as the service lifts were offered to customer's but they didnt seem to be fully operational either. The shower was nice and the toiletries were a good standard but we only had 2 cups in a room for 3 and very little tea or coffee. The queue to check in was snaked around the large lobby but reception staff were working hard to get it moving.
