Sandman Signature Aberdeen

Even though the hotel was easy to find it was so hard to find how to get into the hotel to the reception. There isn’t a loading zone so it is kinda tricky. The hotel has very little parking around back but there is a small lot a block away that is also theirs. That fills up fast and when those two are full you are on your own to find a place on the street. The room was large and clean. There is no air conditioning so if you decide to open your window it may get a little noisy with cars and trucks going by. Overall it was a very nice hotel.

The hotel lobby looked nice and the front desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. There were dead bugs on the windowsill, hair and mildew in the bathroom, TOENAIL CLIPPINGS on bathroom floor and the tea cupps had been used by previous occupants and not cleaned/replaced lots of dust and dinge throughout the room.' The room was VERY hot no air conditioning and only one small window. as staff member even said "wow, it's hot in here." when dropping off room service. We were on the 3rd floor, but it was hotter in the room than the hallway, like the heat was on in the room. We had a bad experience with the hotel restaurant as well. we came in for a late dinner after confirming with front desk and restarant staff that they were still serving. We were completely ignored by staff, had to ask if we could seat ourselves, asked someone else for menus. they gave us the room service menu, tried to order form bartender and he turned his back on us. So we left and went back to the room called room service. they would not answer the phone so we called front desk who had to leave the desk and track down restaurant staff. placed same order but had to pay room service fees on top.

Very good but could be better

Car park is very small and I had to pay for a multi-story. The breakfast wasn't great, the black pudding was like a brick! Hotel itself is very nice and the room. Great location

Brilliant

This was an impromptu stay as we had a power cut and needed to have guaranteed access to wifi in the morning. The room was a suite with kitchen facilities (hob, sink, microwave and fridge) and was very well equipped. As I'd booked on the drive there at 9pm the sofabed wasn't made up when we checked in, but housekeeping arrived at the door within seconds of us reaching the room and made the bed up quickly. A great sleep for all, and a lovely shower in the morning. Would choose this hotel if I needed to stay in the city overnight again.

Enjoyed a fine meal in Chop restaurant and were served by a lovely Romanian girl. Can’t remember her name but she was excellent and deserves a mention in this review.
