Excellent location on the Royal Mile. Room was big and clean. Staff was attentive and service was wonderful. My one very minor quibble is that the hotel did not have equipped a UK power plug that might be needed for foreign travelers. But this is something that travelers like myself should have been prepared to handle. Overall a highly enjoyable stay. Thank you!

A few hiccups

Had booked a twin room but on arrival was given a double. Had to move rooms twice to get what I had booked & then the TV didn’t come on!!! However the staff were amazing & sorted us out very quickly & gave us complimentary drinks.

Terrible trip- room wasn’t ready at 3pm (we were told room would be ready at 12.30 and hang around for an hour needlessly) and when my son got back from the rugby at 11pm room still wasn’t available and won’t let him check in without me so I had to cut my even short to then find despite our request was set up as a double not a twin as we had to get them to change. Night staff were shocking

Excellent location

Lovely hotel in an amazing location for the old town of Edinburgh. The hotel staff were very friendly. Only a short walk from the train station- approximately 10 mins. Would definitely stay again if visiting Edinburgh.

Check in was great, staff friendly and helpful. The room was great too, but never cleaned, and when we did ask for housekeeping, they tidied on one occasion, but did not make the beds. The telephones were not working which was a nuisance for calling for facilities, room service and housekeeping. The bar forgot to order our food so we waited 45 minutes before asking where our food was and it hadn't been put through. On the flip side, the hotel is clean, bright and in a fantastic location.

Fabulous location on the royal mile with onsite parking at a reasonable price. Reception staff were fantastic, and our room was comfortable, a good size and had everything we needed. Didn’t use the bar and hadn’t booked for breakfast as it’s so close to many coffee shops. We got a good price as booked out of season and couldn’t fault the hotel. Would definitely choose this place again over other places we’ve stayed at in Edinburgh.

Overpriced for the service provided.

Requested bed guards and high chair. None provided on arrival. Had to wait an hour for a high chair to arrive once checked in. Next day had to request more towels and glasses as only 2 towels left for family of four, dressed gowns were taken away and not replaced next morning too. Cocktails looked nothing like what we asked for (strawberry daiquiris). Nice clean hotel, over priced and not what I would expect from this chain of hotels and the price we paid for the suite for 2 nights.
