We love staying at Monarch, especially for the world class spa. The rooms were immaculate and the staff are amazing. Super busy casino and restaurant since it was 2 days post holiday and a casino staff member saw our plight and went over and beyond, calling each restaurant to see wait times since the buffet was a 4 hour wait. Got into 24/7 restaurant in 45min and it was delicious!

Rooms were great. Spa is amazing other than their showers which are malfunctioning and poorly designed. I have visited 3 times in 2025 and they still haven’t been fixed. We are thinking about trying out another spa. We booked 5 treatments this visit.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were nice & clean however the buffet for brunch was way overpriced and the selection was not worth it. There wasn’t an easy way to get food to go to your room or eat on the move like most hotels in Blackhawk.

I feel bad about the star rating but the air freshener caused me to have horrible allergies- so I know this wouldn’t affect 90% of guests but I was unable to sleep or relax in my room so I left even though I paid for two nights. It was a bummer cause I was really looking forward to the pool and spa but my symptoms can get serious if I ignore them. Like I said this wouldn’t affect most guests and everyone was kind but my personal experience was poor.
